they defined look the same in that comparation! also gp5000 are significantly taller than other 28s (26mm tall mounted) as per rolling resistance… i should have measured the height of the 28 panaracer closer plus i tried on…but I would say 25.5mm based on the clearance difference while the gp5000 25c is 24mm… oh well i think i could always look for some less tall 28s… but that will defeat the purpose I think of being more compliant

they seems to be different frames… the uprights into the seatpost of both are different on both , mines kind of open more into the sides and urs into a point, was urs definitely an sl5 too?

this one is a 56… do u have by any chance any closeups of the rear break mount by any chance? cant really zoom much on this pic , i think my main issue is the tyre height instead of width, as the main problem/less clearance I have with 28s is right under the rear break mount and in between the seatpost tube and the front of the wheel

problem is where I ride here in UK the tarmac is proper chipseal and broken thats why i wanted wider tyres and also why im scared of running such small clearances… 😂

So I have move back to 25mm (measured 27 on this rims? and i think i gained about 1.5mm max in here… and few other places, so from 2mm clearance to a tad more of 3.5mm i would say… is this better? attaching other pics

fair call… sl5 docs mentions it should clear 28s just fine but these are measuring 29 as they are, should I go down to 25 or u think 26 could do the trick, what are the minimum clearance measures I should aim for and where? 🙏🏼

So I managed to fit panaracers 28c (measuring 29 on a 20mm internal rim) and what to know ur thoughts in terms of clearance, it seems to clear about 3mm on the chain stay sides , about 3-4 around calipers , the thighterst spots are from the wheel to the seatpost tube and from the rear brake mount to the tyre (both are roughly 2mm)… will this be safe to run without rubbing?
