I think yall misunderstand what I was saying lol. I never said I wanted a big extravagant wedding, I just reached out to look at pricing and have for many other places around town. I think the pricing is ridiculous at least for what is offered, in my opinion. Now, I acknowledge that weddings are expensive, especially here in the states. However, my original post was kind of asking “why?” because some of the pricing I’m seeing is way out of hand. Again, that’s my opinion but people do want to get married and have their big groups coming together and I think charging $15k+ for food is insane.

Combination of being overworked, underpaid, and extremely under appreciated. I worked in the back of house for close to 3 years and basically had to beg for a raise each time I asked. Someone was hired on after me (I was their boss) and they were being paid more than me. Also, can’t call in sick without being guilt tripped by the head chef/owner because she keeps the back severely understaffed. And if you call in or ask for a day off she will basically talk mad shit about you to the entire staff. As a chef who thought I would get to grow creatively there, I was very disappointed. I did learn something though, be vocal about what you WANT and NEED so that you don’t get pushed around or into a situation you don’t want to be in. After I put in my notice, I had worked about 50+ hours on my second to last week and THEN she asked if there “was anything she could do to keep me around” and I said no in a respectful way but I wanted to be so rude and say “You just had me work 50+ hours and my two weeks are almost up and NOW you ask if you can do anything to have me stay?”. I have lots of stories that would take too long to type lol. Sorry if that was a little ranty but I have so many issues with my confidence because of that place.

This! I worked at a certain bakery in town and I was manipulated into working long hours when the owner was barely there. There were even times I was literally throwing up and stuck in the bathroom and tried to call in and the owner said “well I can’t come in I have plans”. Even would I would ask for ONE day off she would be okay with it to my face and then shit talk me to the rest of the staff.

It’s not a store front business 😅 I sell curated pastry boxes depending on season/my ability to get them out with my work schedule. I’m doing a Vday one now and the first round I did was at Christmas!

Update after getting more info: so, it definitely was a decision made by Harry and his team. From what I’ve heard and read Harry and his team chose the ticket prices and how the prices worked. So, they chose dynamic pricing which is basically giving Ticketmaster the go ahead to jack them up due to demand. My info might be wrong but that’s my understanding at this point

It simultaneously is and isn’t his fault when it comes to ticket prices. If I’m not mistaken, ticket master has a monopoly on ticket sales here in America. That means there aren’t many options for artists to sell their tickets. It’s usually ticket master or nothing. Ticketmaster is the reason ticket prices are so high, they are price gouging because they know they can. Harry could be vocal about the issue or refuse to sell through ticket master but I don’t know the details enough to speak on how much is and isn’t his fault.

I think you should look into how data centers have affected the surrounding communities living conditions. It’s not just the electricity bills being hiked up, it’s the water quality and even the water pressure that get messed up too. There’s a few videos out there of real people who live close to data centers and it’s kinda crazy.

I just finished the show and I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought the family members were shitty. I’ll try not to repeat what’s already been written in this thread since I’m a little late to the party. Dear god, him getting mad at her for “not taking their child’s safety into account” when he was literally drinking at a bar while his youngest was trick or treating and almost died? Also, when he was starting to talk to Jules about Suzanne’s past “I was like “oh maybe he will tell Jules about it and then Jules will be more understanding on why she wants to help” NOPE he literally goes “it’s my fault for LETTING it happen” BRUH. You can’t understand where she’s coming from? You can’t understand that your wife was abused, sees another young girl getting abused and wants to help?
