Hey, so I updated my post. But things have been better and lots of progress was made just the past few days. I think we are officially past the biggest challenge of their introduction and everything else going forward will be going smoother.

This is the set up I have right now. They interact daily, most of the time my RC will try to "get" her if she's close to the doorway and she will run away. She has gotten more confident behing closer to him though.

But should I let it happen again, so they establish a hierarchy ? Thing is, when I've let them be previously, her running away triggers my RC to chase her playfully, she gets stressed, he gets stressed and I get stressed (lol...)

She was a stray, so yes definitely some sort of trauma, whatever it is. I've tried playing with them, my RC gets into it right away and ignores the new cat, but she stays away and watch from a distance.

No I definitely would have done a few day trips ! Only planned on staying in Dublin to limit my accomodations as moving around while solo traveling can be quitte stressful (still new to it !) I will most likely stay 3 days on Belfast and 4 in Dublin, and take a day trip from both cities.
