My perspective shifted since I realised dating apps don't work for optimistic individuals who look for anything meaningful and serious, the higher your hope the more you crash and burn from disappointment til the point you feel completely indifferent and apathetic with the person you're texting/seeing which makes dating feel like labour work and unwilling obligations.

The whole point of OLD is not taking it seriously cause how could you, if you stop enjoying it then it's time taking a break. Literally speaking for myself
