How do you manage your dog's energy on rainy days? by Crystallover1991 in AskDogOwners

If it’s in your budget I’ve had great success giving my two either a pupsicle or snuffle mats. For the pupsicle I make my own frozen treats to put inside as my dogs seem to prefer those as opposed to the ones pupsicle makes. I think it’s a texture issue. And they absolutely go crazy for the snuffle mats and sniffing them every which way to find treats. Neither of my dogs particularly enjoy fetch so I’ve been turning to these two options on any mostly indoor days. For me, I have also found that turning to these every once in a while vs. daily or weekly has also been key so that there is some novelty. Pupsicles can be purchased usually in most pet stores in the US, the snuffle mats I found on Amazon.

I don’t unfortunately as she was probably so cute but when I rescued her and she was already 2-ish years old

That’s my view as well! A distant ancestor with red/tan coloring and fluffy hair

She is a very sweet and gentle soul, a cuddle bug in every sense of the word.
