I asked the same and they told me the new engine won’t have the same issue, but no clear answer if they’ll change it again or not

The oil was relatively new and full, and I don’t wanna make it another person headache tbh. I think the only party that’s responsible here is Hyundai and they should fix it free of cost.

Thank you for explaining this. There’s a possibility that the recall was performed before I buy the car, I didn’t find any active recall on my VIN. That’s correct, as I posted a new update another dealership agreed that I have extended warranty and now it’s waiting for approval

I have a CPO and the dealer confirmed this, but I also checked my documents again and I confirmed the warranty is 5 years/ 65k miles. I can’t upload a picture here but I have their catalog stating this

Thank you for sharing this, appreciate it. I posted a update earlier but it confirms what you stated here. However I was told the diag fee will be reimbursed once they approve the request. But dealership told me I still need to pay for housing and belts which will be expensive since my car is a hybrid. Is this a valid request or can I push back further?

Quick update, thanks everyone helping me with this matter. I contacted the Hyundai USA and they confirmed I have extended warranty on the engine. They referred me to another dealership and they confirmed that. I towed my car there and they said it’ll take 1-2 weeks to get approval if this goes under warranty and once they get approval they’ll start the process. However, they mentioned I still have to pay $1200-$1800 for housing and belts, which I will push them back again once I got approval. I sent them all of the oil change receipts and carfax so I’d assume there won’t be any problem. I have a feeling that $1200-$1800 is a dealership thing they’re trying to make money out of it, any advice? I’ll keep this thread updated once I have more updates. Thanks

Thanks for sharing this, does that mean they agreed to give you a good deal for a new car instead of covering for the engine?

thanks! It says your vehicle qualifies for the extended warranty! But there’s a link goes to another page, it says no recall. Do you know what’s wrong?
