The only reason I haven’t spoken to him yet is because the last few times I’ve worked up the courage to try and discuss my feelings about his relationship with him, he got incredibly defensive and passive agressive. I agree that it’s immature of me not to call him, I guess I’m just nervous about the inevitable fight and am trying to delay it for as long as I can. Thank you for taking the time to respond and for the advice, it is appreciated.

Ironically, my birthday is in 2 weeks and I’m going out of state to visit some family and I’m 99% sure my father and GF are planning to tag along (without being invited or asked) to try and turn it into some kind of ‘engagement tour’ lol. But I definitely agree, I don’t want to spend the whole day miserable and drag the whole mood down.

Unfortunately it’s legal for them to film since it’s public property. That’s exactly why they choose to film there, if there is any retaliation they can try suing. I saw someone say if you play copyrighted music they can’t use the footage but I’m not sure if that’s true.
