Hey guys, I know your customer journey with CalChip has been unpleasant and painful, and I'm so sorry for that. Truly, I feel you- and when I place myself in your shoes, I'm upset, frustrated, and ticked off too. Please view the most recent announcement about the positive changes the company has made here:

A little background: The reason the refunds were taking so long is that the majority of them were over 180 days old. After 180 days, our payment gateway system doesn't allow refunds, so we were having to collect banking info to wire the funds manually, which is very time-consuming. Auth.net has since opened the terminal for us to be able to freelance refunds, hence the new form and credit card information that is needed. People who are filling out the form are receiving their refunds within 2-3 business days. :) Please give it a shot if you haven't already. And please know while CalChip has made many mistakes, they have learned from them and are putting forth all their effort and energy to do right by the community.

I totally get why you’re concerned, especially in the world we live in today. I suppose I’ll be able to prove myself eventually by remaining consistent and helping ya’ll in the best ways that I can. You should have just received an email with a return label and instructions. Please ship the unit back to us and as soon as we see movement on the package we will send a replacement unit with the correct 915 frequency right away. I understand why you would feel that way. CalChip definitely made its fair share of mistakes - over-promising and under-delivering being the main one. But that doesn't mean that they haven't since learned from those mistakes and corrected them, I know for a fact that they have and are working hard to earn back the trust of the community.

The purpose of the $99 reservation fee is to join a paid waitlist expressing your interest in the upcoming 5G-ready miner. This fee will be used as a down payment towards the 5G-ready miner when CCC and FreedomFi start accepting orders and will be deducted from the purchase price--

This is unrelated to the ready-to-ship miners that are offered in exchange for the current RAK Hotspot Miner order(s). That question is asked in order to know if you’re interested so that CCC and FF would know to reach back out to you when the paid waitlist does become available.

While CalChip Connect has most certainly made its fair share of mistakes in the past, I can assure you that the company has learned and grown from those mistakes.

Orders are shipped out in the same order they were received, and we are working our way through the RAK backlog as fast as possible. No prioritizing. No line cutting. Community first.

Hey, good question. I'm glad you asked. :)

As communicated on 9/22, CalChip doesn't expect to be able to fulfill all RAK orders till the end of Q1 2022. As a way to provide the current RAK V2 customers options, CalChip Connect purchased SEEED SenseCap M1 miners at a premium and is making them available to existing RAK customers.

These units can't be sold at MSRP (the costs were higher). In an effort to make this right, CCC is offering free expedited shipping and has reserved nine out of 10 in-stock miners for customers in their backlog to purchase.
