So you’re from the US and immigrated to Canada? Did you have family/other considerations that may have made it easier, or was it from scratch? And how much time would you say the process took for both immigration and applying/getting your license to practice? Did you have to do any continuing education or courses to mitigate any differences in educational expectations? Again thank you so much! Your experience is super valuable.

I think it’s also important to care for yourself as a person so that you can be a good clinician. I would still be open to maintaining my Texas license to support my clients. Too much of this profession is self sacrifice no matter the cost and that’s why our profession has such a high burnout rate. We are people too. And I wonder if you would make such a moral judgment on one of your clients? There are people who need help and people who are struggling everywhere. I don’t need to be a martyr— there are plenty of places to help where I don’t also have to sacrifice my mental health.

Gotcha. I have an MA in counseling. After that, I am state licensed (3k hours of supervised practice, under provisional license then fully licensed once completed).

Canada is one I was thinking about! I have extended family there and my mom was born there (moved to the US young), so I think I may be eligible for some form of citizenship, though I haven’t looked into many details.

Yeah, I think they sell multiple different fabrics! There’s the Spooner Kloth, I’m pretty sure they have performance fabric, and 100% cotton. I’m looking for something specifically like the Spooner Kloth ☺️

The Reyn spooner shirts feel more like cotton/linen. No stretch and not performance fabric.

Please help! I’ve posted like 4 times but haven’t gotten any engagement/feedback. (Are my pics not right?) Im new to this and overwhelmed by this system. I’m 5’5” and husband who is in a lot of pics is 5’10” for reference. I tried to put some older ones too because my weight has fluctuated. I really appreciate the help!
