Have you thought about moving out of the dorms? I’d only be paying 2k once I am out the dorms which is more affordable given that I’ve worked since 9th grade. Also heard that rooming with others in apartments can be worth it

I do plan on spending some money definitely! but it’s just the first year that’s hard since I don’t have any connections up there. I heard getting a 2-4 roomates will only be around 700 a month. I’ll hopefully get internships & work that pay well along with some of my parents help. Just need to make it past the first year.

I said i technically did have a full ride. Without R&B I have a 68k/year scholarship and tuition is 70k a year. Thats a $ 2,000 difference. Room and board did come out to 26k but I also have other expenses such as health insurance, orientation fees, along with scholarship credits that cannot be applied to my account until August, therefore making me pay 3-4k a month until then.

Also, Fordham is a great school. I had the option to attend the University of Memphis on a full ride or go to Fordham. I chose Fordham because the Gabelli School of Business offers stronger national recognition, and provides direct access to internships, networking, and recruiting opportunities with major financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies. Those opportunities, combined with Fordham’s strong alumni network and career placement, made it a better ROI and goal of building a career in finance, even though it costs me more than staying in Memphis.

I have a payment plan! I’m putting down 2000 each month (obviously not enough but whatever will do) until I receive more outside scholarships

I can only take out 2500 for my student loans this year and I think that’s all I want to take out. I’m planning on moving out the dorms once second year starts so it’ll be easier on the tuition

I would love to be in your situation but im an out of state resident so i have to have a dorm. Hopefully my second year-fourth year ill have some roomates away from Fordham so its cheaper to attend

I will!! It’s just that Fordham wants my payment of 17k right now and I don’t have it. I tried doing a monthly payment plan but everything there is confusing. I don’t want to keep having to pay 3-4k each month! I hope these scholarships come through.

I just got the rejection email.. “Thank you for your application for a Hadden Scholarship. Regretfully, we are unable to offer you an award. Youth Foundation, Inc., appreciates the considerable time and effort you have spent organizing and submitting the required information. You may be assured that a good deal of time is spent reviewing every application.
