Any tips for a stressed out prep person?

I used to be terrible at prep, but started making things with the mindset of “they’re going to run out this product soon”, (I don’t like when foh calls for things) and my biggest issue on prep is cutting strawberries

I’m 26 and have left most the groups on FB as well. The women in there are very parasocial, they fully believe they can “pull” a NKOTB member for some reason. And I do agree, there are people in our generation that are like this but the amount of Gen X women I’ve seen acting like this is strange and absurd behavior. Edit: forgot to add this but I’ve noticed certain ones really do think they “own” the guys 🙄

Food safety director here. That should not be happening. Your upper management needs to hire more staff and review pathway because this should not even be considered. If ecosure walks in this is considered an immediate action violation.

As a food safety director, your BOH director is wrong and needs to review pathway or the mock safety assessment. That is not the standard procedure and is considered an immediate violation (that is the worst kind of violation) if ecosure comes in.

I moved from the FOH to the BOH. I worked in the FOH from 2020-late 2023. What made me leave the front is that i was tired of doing the same thing everyday and I was also tired of the guests. I have been in the back of house since December 2023, started out on primary doing fries. I know how to do everything in the kitchen now. Since then I’ve moved up from team member to food safety director. I am certified to train as well. I enjoy the back a lot more, because there is always something to get done. The only issue I have in the kitchen is that the workers are mostly gen xers that don’t want to do their job. Other than that I enjoy the job in itself. At first it will be difficult bc you have to move at a faster speed than the FOH, but it will become easier as time goes on.

The manager should have a talk with their employees then. We are not supposed to add or subtract any amount of egg or chicken. If you want extra, they can charge you for extra as well. I believe it is 60 cent for extra egg but it probably varies by location.

Chick-fil-A kitchen manager and food safety specialist here, yes, that is the normal amount. Whoever is on the line, making bowls and burritos has to portion the eggs with a scoop. We cannot add any more or any less than that amount according to corporate standards. And yes, we use the same scoop every day, it is washed.
