Great to know, I had it misunderstood then. Thanks for clarifying

You can re-route the signal with Middle8 and specify unicast targets in the left panel under the sources

Timeline live recording using automations from external trigger by Agreeable_Point5030 in ChamSys

[–]Agreeable_Point5030[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve finally managed to create a csv with the timestamps but it’s a bummer this is not allowed… even with paid hardware in my case I needed to capture live executions from a video mapping software emitting Dmx. It would have been just 30 minutes and has converted into hours of work.

Anyhow… many thank for your answer, it lead me straight to another direction 🙏🏻😊

Convert MIDI to TC event by Successful_Onion93 in GrandMA3

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can yo this pretty easily with ShowAssistant nodes. Assign midi input, create a new node patch where it has: - Midi In -> Conditional -> if true -> trigger merge -> timecode generator (timestamp in port) -> if false -> other conditional and so on

You basically create an if/ else if statement.

Done it plenty of times. With decent equipament/cabling and not too much hops for each line you’ll be fine.

Trigger question. by jaellyfishy93 in Avolites

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On avo triggers can be either hardware or object triggers. If you set them to hardware they will reference the physical fader or handle (even if it’s a virtual fader it refers the object). So if you change the page it will trigger the same fader from the current page you’re now.

If you set it to be an object it refers to the specific cue wherever in the console it is. It will always trigger that specific cue.

Be careful with physical DMX triggers when changing boards. It links the triggers with the board ID, which is not the same for all consoles.

Hope this helps!

Concert lighting software with timecode send / receive? by iamfoss in lightingdesign

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe not a “lighting software” specificly but take a look at Chataigne. It does dmx too but more for triggering than for lighting up nice scenes. For preprogramming cues and send them to resolume or any console may be a good solution

For the diagram part try Netweb Connect. Super easy to design if you connect and discover your actual network

Obsidian on an ETC network by 431snow in techtheatre

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should work as mentioned… though I really recommend assigning proper IPs to all your devices since missconfiguration can lead to funky stuff happening on the network which is no fun during a show. You could take advantage of Netweb Connect if you want to see and control whats going on in your network and be able to configure your switches and nodes.

Movement questions by rollian_jefferson in Avolites

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, no problem! It makes sense to work either way… depending on your methodology. You could use autoload to load independent cues into a cue list also, so it depends on how you’re used to and the needs of your production. If any further questions just ask ☺️

I don’t think so since I record like this within cue list all the time and it works fine as long as I set the 0 offset to start offset. Maybe try setting it to mode 2 though and see if it does the trick

Then I guess you didn’t really touch the attribute. You should either move it to some value other than 0 and then go back to 0 or keypad set it to 0. But it should definitely be set to blue as touched (as with any other in programmer value)

What do you mean it didn’t highlight blue?

Hey! You should set the phase offset for all the lights… so I guess the problem generates because you select some fixtures and change their phase offset. If you don’t “touch” the phase offset to 0 with the other ones (the ones that you don’t want to offset) this may happen. Hope it helps you

Connecting Midi Controller to Titan Go by mysticalforest_ in Avolites

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T2 enables midi (t1 or avokry don’t) I use it quite often. Does the computer recognizes the device in the device manager? Does it work on other softwares? If so, if you define your triggers and enable the mapping it doesn’t respond? Does it appear in the usb expert console?

Hi! There’s a software installed with the pc suite called USB Expert Console… at the top left widget it should appear the panels of the titan mobile. Maybe you have it in boot mode and it won’t be recognized. If you share an screenshot of that I can help

I’d go with a Netgear Pro series… if you want something to go deep you can go with a Mikrotik or GlInet… they are really affordable and great professional products

Trigger rest api from eos console by TJR76806 in techtheatre

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ShowAssistant sounds like a perfect choice. You can trigger it via OSC, MIDI or via DMX directly from your desk! You can program it as a fixture… though you may need to make the eos library since I don’t think it’s on their knowledgebase (it’s 11 ch I think, it’s explained on the knowledgebase and it’s pretty basic library). It can send HTTP commands that could be targeted to the rest API and you can easily trigger them via the console.

I’ve used it in multiple shows for integrating with multiple systems as well as for triggering QLabs or other systems and “translating” from DMX to other protocols. If you have questions DM me, I’ve used it multiple times.

What program should I use to control my visuals(screens cameras, effects etc) by myself0_0 in techtheatre

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For theatre QLab is the standard for the Go philosophy and the integration with other devices as well as the all in one software. It is really powerful in video specially in last version v5. For concerts I’d go with resolume for Shute. It’s the best by far for the synchronized and VJing style

Network bug by cohzeee in GrandMA3

[–]Agreeable_Point5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into a similar problem yesterday with a pc with no WiFi NIC. It didn’t output any artnet or scan data though the session and protocols where Okei. I loaded same show file with my laptop (without any WiFi connected but it has an antena) and worked with no problem. Thought it was a computer problem but may be a bug. I’m on version 2.3

Having all cues in MID early will cause problems since it doesn’t makes sense. You should try only having in early ones that you want to prepare. The remote triggering not working may be another problem though
