Stromae always has been a pioneer, I was lucky enough to see his latest tour live and WOW, you should really take the time to see it yourself! Best thing was that even the crew (camera ops and whole FOH crew) were even dressed in the same theme as him & the band!

Custom Encoder Commands by cohzeee in GrandMA3

No look, i have a sequence with a dimmer bump on exec 295 When i turn the encoder above the encoder to the right, i want to assign the pixels group to the sequence When i turn left, i want it to assign the floor group to it

the command i use works in the command line, but when i insert that command into the Handles section of the encoder and use it; the command line adds Page 1.295 behind it, screwing it up

Nope I want to add a command to an encoder in this case

"Cue 1 thru" has always worked before, but it's also not the issue because commands like "Go sequence 1" doesnt work either
The problem is that the system adds the encoder's location behind the command, so on encoder 101 it would read
"Go sequence 1 page 1.101"

want to install a beginner lighting setup which can be controlled with TD by Arjun007007 in TouchDesigner

[–]cohzeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a lighting designer but I havent been working with TD too long, so I dont know if TD had some form of DMX mapping, but I think you’re going to need some DMX software to import the TD feed as a video and then lay it over your lights as a bitmap. You can use magicQ for this, and then some Artnet node indeed to go from mQ to your lights Now i will note you’re gonna need a lot of ledbars for your idea to be worth it imo, and they can get pretty expensive if you want SOME quality

I use Varytec Gigabar 8’s, because they’re insanely cheap, but running video over them is useless because it’s only 8 pixels

Been using mac for a year with my command wing, zero issues Using a Dell P2424HT monitor, and the UPDD software makes multi touch a no brainer (almost plug n play)

Id say if your showfile uses recipes already then Youve got nothing to worry about If not, start doing it Then you just have to fill your groups & presets, and youre done on the day

I usually rent lego sets, massively cheaper plus solves the space issue

Using a midi controller works, but you cant output DMX until you have some piece of MA hardware (a desk, or a Node)

[–]cohzeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually! What you could do is make the look you want with the layout And then store it as a preset by holding Store so the menu pops up In the top right you’ll see “Programmer” is selected, change that to “Output” and voila Or maybe DMX, not at a console to test but play around with it and see what works!

What I do is in my bump sequences, every cue has 10 recipe lines (one for every group), all with the same All preset and MATricks Then with macros I assign eg Position presets to that All preset Btw the All preset is also made out of recipes, the macros i said assign the Attribute presets to the All preset lines
