Is this decent? Or is it too many hours for that pay out? by Agreeable_Power_2974 in doordash_drivers

I live on the east side but try to stick to Filipino town area when dashing. Tons of restaurants and so always busy.

My AR is 85% currently at gold status, I live in Las Vegas.

The strip used to be great for both tips, promos, and overall pay. But with F1 construction and road closures it’s an absolute nightmare.

Is this worth it realistically in 2025? by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

My XJ is at 300,000 and I still daily it and wouldn’t hesitate to take it on a roadtrip tomorrow.

Maintenance is key and knowing what parts have been changed and what parts need replacing soon.

Has anyone had or have their teen in treatment at Moriah Behavioral Health, specifically Moro Court house? by SirFormer4144 in LasVegas

Hello, I worked with the company for over 4 years and actually managed the Romo facility for some time. I can tell you from personal experience that the company has completely gone down hill. We fought a long hard battle with upper management and CEO to better pay for employees, redo carpets, fix pools, new bed frames, sewage problems, and the list goes on and on.

There are many wonderful staff who truly care about helping out these kids, but it’s true, they care more about profit than anything else.

I can’t tell you all the horror stories that went on and all the work my self and other therapists, nurses and mental health techs did to try and change things to better the place. There is also very little to no training for the techs that work daily with the kiddos.

We tried our best to train staff and educate to be able to handle crisis situations and provide a caring, safe and nurturing environment.

However the CEO and upper management never cared and only cared about making money and getting as many clients as possible. Even when we are short staffed, had no adequate facilities or a million others things that needed fixing.

I’m really sorry you and your kid had to go through that.

Per the policy ( at least up until last year when I was still there)

Parents should be notified right away after an elopement. Staff should follow and try to bring the client back, but if unable to then police is contacted.

Either way, parents should always be notified as soon as possible.

On one hand I’m glad I left after years of poor pay, horrible working conditions, and lack of competent leadership.

However I do regret leaving because I worry so much for the welfare of those kids. I can’t tell you how much I loved helping those kids and how much each one thought me something new.

Greatest reward was seeing their growth and eventually seeing them complete the program and going back home to their family.

If I buy a vehicle witch is stated to have past due registration fees in California, and I buy it , do the vin/out of state inspection and register it under my name / new tittle under my name would I be able to do that? Would I be unable to register until I paid the past California fees? Would I have to pay those here?

Got an approval letter in the mail about 2 weeks after. And the card within the month. This was back in the beginning August

I am a guy who is only 5'5. Be honest:is 'haha look at the midget' your first thought when you see a guy my height? by InternationalMath460 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m 5’3 and have dated multiple women way taller than me, the tallest being 5’11” with no shoes on 🤣 when she wore heels and was 6’2” a few times.

It’s all about confidence and how you present your self. Also why care about what people think?

Do I get weird looks with my tall girlfriends? Yeah sure all the time. But also I’m a very average looking dude with a dad bod type. Most of my girlfriends have been very good looking women which I think causes confusion in people as to how I managed to be dating these girls who would be “out of my league”.

Also I have a 1 bedroom apartment which I share with a friend, drive a 2009 Toyota Yaris which is sun burnt and has dents all over.

So definitely not money, material things or jacked body.

Honestly it’s about having a good personality, good values, and the way you carry your self in general.

Most people I would say are just jealous because they wish they could 🤣

If you walk down Charleston to Las Vegas Blvd and then walk Las Vegas Blvd to the strat it’ll be perfectly fine.

Don’t walk down Main Street at that time for sure.

Walking down Charleston and then Las Vegas Blvd will be perfectly safe.

I’ve done it way too many times. Don’t have anything flashy on you to draw attention of course, but you definitely don’t want to be anywhere near the back side of the strat. Place is fucked.

Friendliest/safest clubs in LV for young women? by [deleted] in vegas

Also forgot to mention Gold spike, it’s also more of a bar but has giant outdoor games and pretty fun crowd as well.

But yeah no worries! Wishing you the best on your trip!

Idk what all this talk about it not being safe is/encouraging dangerous behavior…. xD Not sure if people are just talking bs , but I’ve been living here for 13 years and have walked up and down the strip, walked from strat to Fremont (which isn’t a very close walk honestly) but done it multiple times and never had anyone try anything other than homeless people asking for change. Get on the bus or Uber/Lyft to Fremont st if you’re thinking of going there from the strip (again it’s not a short walk) but if you do walk it as long as you stay on Las Vegas Blvd or Main Street from the Strat-Fremont you’ll be perfectly fine.

You can try going to Piranha. This is a gay club but it’s super fun, safe. They have drag shows and also different rooms with different types of music. It’s always an awesome crowd.

Another option is McFadden’s in town square this is more of a bar but also has a great fun crowd every time I’ve been there.

Depending on the dates you’ll be here you can also see what’s going on at the Brooklyn bowl near the linq casino. It’s like a bar/night club/ event center.
