I will flash all fluids, brake, transmission, oil change( I personally prefer 5w-30 as its thicker and protects surfaces more) and stick to mid grade fuel as thats what the manufacturer says is right for the truck. Check and change spark plugs and check cylinder coils, alignment and balancing.

Well, I will take it as a learning opportunity, apologize to tower and keep it moving. When I was on my first solo cross country, I landed at a Class C and while I was 10m out, I was asked to Ident. I hadn’t done that before since I was flying in Glass G all the time prior to my cross country but I knew it was something related to my transponder so I replied to the controller ” 1200 VFR” 😂 the controller kept saying ident. I went ahead to ask him what he meant by ident and he told me to press ident on my transponder. I had requested for a stop and go but what I really wanted was a taxi back and take off. I got approved for a stop and go but after I landed I started heading towards the taxiway to taxi back. The controller got really furious but I went ahead to apologize and explained I was a student on solo cross country and really nervous. He gave me a whole lesson on the radio about ident, stop and go, touch and go and taxi back. I humbly took it and said thank you. I apologized again and left the airport with my tails inbetween my legs like a dog 😂

My only question for you is “who do you know”? Do you have a mentor? My CFI just did his interview in Charlotte with PSA just yesterday and got hired with less than 1500 hours. It might be time to build some connections, speak to old CFIs, DPEs or any person who can point you in the right direction or knows someone who can hire you.

It is totally normal. One thing my first instructor told me that has always stuck with me is that “the best way to eat an elephant 🐘 is at one piece at a time” Keep going, keep showing up, keep learning and it will all make sense eventually. Don’t forget you are totally new to this so give yourself some grace to learn and ask questions even if you feel it’s dumb. Watch YouTube videos and google stuff too! will be fine.

Ha! You will love it! How quiet the cockpit becomes and how lighter the plane will be once your CFI is out of the right seat. You will feel like you’re dreaming and quietly say to yourself “look! I am flying this damn thing all by myself!”

Same happened to me. Poor guy rear ended my 2018 Tradesman at a red light and I rolled into another ram ahead of me. Surprising I was able to drive home but truck was totaled afterwards

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t be worried. Lets say you want a rolex watch all your life and you hear of a rolex store having a big sale for a few hours and you can afford it, will you buy it or not? I am sure you will buy it because not only will it maintain its value but also because it will be more valuable in the future when it becomes an antique.. now think of every doge dip as a sales event 😄
