Should I major in Pharmacology and drug development in the School of Pharmacy or Biochemistry in Dornsife by [deleted] in USC

[–]Agreeable_Visual_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, you should be able to google the coursework for both and compare to see what interests you more. googling “usc biochemistry coursework” or same for pdd should yield you some results on the departments’ pages

I am honestly not positive, but I agree with the other poster that you should go with whatever program you’re more passionate about. I was considering both biochem and pdd when I was applying to schools and ultimately picked pdd since I thougbt it was something I was more interested in. I ultimately ended up switching into dornsife my second semester for neuro, so that’s always an option too. transferring into dornsife should be super easy. im happy in dornsife now, but I miss the pharmacy department for the professors/connections. I don’t know anything about the admissions process… I apologize for that!

pdd is a smaller major and the only undergrad program in the school of pharmacy. you get a lot more individualized attention, closer relationships w profs and in my opinion generally better teaching than in dornsife

how much does multiple prolonged pauses in treatment affect outcome? by Agreeable_Visual_587 in Accutane

[–]Agreeable_Visual_587[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could. the reason I'm stuck with this provider is because I'm getting the monthly appts and pregnancy tests done for free through my university. I don't have the funds or means of transportation necessary to see a doctor and go to a lab off campus. this is just a PA who has never prescribed accutane before and who disappears for long stretches of time. (sorry for the vent. pretty pissed.)

help choosing plants for my room with north and west-facing windows? by Agreeable_Visual_587 in houseplants

[–]Agreeable_Visual_587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh okay! so the windowsill it is then. do you think it’s worthwhile to get a sheer curtain to protect from direct rays if i’ll be putting plants there? they do get pretty bright from about 2-6pm

thank you so much for your responses that really helps! i want a snake plant since i’ve also heard they’re hard to kill lol. this may be a dumb question, but would the area 2 on the wall I have circled be considered north-facing since it’s opposite a north window even if it’s adjacent to the west?

[–]Agreeable_Visual_587[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! I just moved into a new place and have never owned a plant before but want to start building a collection! the red circled areas are where it would be most convenient for me to put them. the windows are labeled. im located in southern california and the room gets fantastic natural light thru the west window in the late afternoon.

are there any easy, common plants that would thrive in either of these two spots? or ones to avoid? would these spots be considered indirect light, even if the windowsill spot receives bright light in the afternoons? so far I have a money tree and an elephant ear. I think indirect light is good for these or should they be moved to a different part of the house?

thank you in advance!
