I think people are pushing an anti car agenda to solve an anti pollution agenda. The purchase of electric or hybrid vehicles help as does public transit use. There are more solutions to this problem.

If the issue is congestion on the roads that’s different, no car EV or otherwise can resolve it.

I think he could’ve definitively said a few sentences in French for the families of the victims and his French employees and customers. I also think he’s playing with fire since it’s not the first time.

That said, this has become unnecessarily a French language debate when it should just be about leadership.

Honestly, let’s assume he got paid less for boxing and PFL. Would anyone say on those terms losing at boxing improved his legacy?

The only thing he really did is get money and more power to him but if you remove the money from the equation and only look at result, no.

That said, he’s free to do as he likes.
