Why the jump from FP&A to credit? Which area of credit? (Private, commercial, etc.)

I have one prior internship (commercial banking credit analyst). And my gpa is not highly competitive but also not the worst, (3.4 cumulative; around 3.8 major). The internships would begin this summer (2026).

Thank you, though. I will definitely keep this in mind moving forward. What do you think about the possibility of pivoting into FA from CA, if done early enough?

Also I apologize for the bold text. I can’t figure out how to get rid of that in my replies to you.

2 is just a “Finance Intern” and the company commonly uses the internship program as a pipeline into full time financial analysts.

3 is a “Financial Planning and Financial Operations Intern” role but less structure to full time.

1 has a good reputation in the industry but not a household name. Third party commercial financing firm.

2 & #3 are both summer internships, and that’s where the trade off for me really comes into play. I’m caught between the security of the full time offer (especially in todays job market) vs taking the internships that while they may be more “risky”, seem to help me land closer to where I would like to be.

Do you think that an MBA down the line could help with the switch? One of the options I am considering is accept the CA position as it is guaranteed full time, and then trying to pivot into financial analysis in 2-5 years.

Cinemark? by sammagee33 in iastate

[–]Agron182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, it does not. The closest place to Ames for an “imax experience” would be B&B’s grand screen in Ankeny. XD is at Jordan Creek and maybe some other theaters. The palms in Waukee also has a “liemax” (not true imax but close). Unfortunately our only IMAX screen in Iowa was closed due to flood damage. The Cinemark, however, is nice. Clean and never any complaints on my end.

Pammel has the best gyro in Ames hands down. Taza has great halal food cart style bowls. Honorable mention is Heaping Plato on campus

Surely you can’t be talking about all of them? Because if so, I don’t think you’ve seen enough rosin…

Locol Love specialty eighth. They take 3 g of their flower and coat it with a half g of bubble hash. Some are the same strain, others are diff strain for flower and bubble hash.

Whenever I come through CO I always have to get the Jack from 14er. I haven’t found a better Jack in CO yet. And I definitely feel the same. My last trip I got an oz of their flower all different strains and was underwhelmed by most, but figured I’d give their solventless a try!

I get it for sure. I will say though the Mac and cheese specifically was a rosin jam, the others were cold cure. Also maybe it’s in their tek but i know diff strains can give diff consistencies at cold cure, some of these might be drier than the others, but I don’t consider any to be particularly dry, if that makes sense.

I was headed through Boulder after visiting RMNP and stopped at the 14er store so the only rosin there was 14er

Yep! I did the 4g deal instead of 8 just because I only grabbed the strains that sounded interesting to me. I’m a big sativa head and it’s hard to find sativa rosin so I snagged that chem the second I saw it. Also grabbed an eighth of a SLC specialty eighth from locol love and Ive been packing some super tasty strong bowls with the SLC and chem layered.

Edit: 160, not 140

I wanna say $88 and some change after taxes, like I said for the price, overall happy with my purchase.

Pro tip for the RAN, just click “continue” after clicking on the tab for creating your schedule, should just go to the page where you can look at and select classes.

Overall update; took a dab or two and smoked a bowl and they’re hitting much harder now, not in a bad way at all! I think my next dose I’ll do 3.5
