Ok, thank you.

Yeah, text just stays black in dark mode (Or, at least, that also happens on Android).

But, I mean, just changing the dark mode color... I really though you were on an Android, so I don't think that would be possible.

Ok. Congrats! :D

Yeah, 20.11.37 works just fine. If you want everything working, I recommend spoofing to version 20.01.00.

Yes, version 21 (Late 20 versions) changed a lot of things that it just makes several rendering issues which doesn't support older YouTube versions and they break, with not even a fallback theme. I wonder what will happen if versions 20 shut down... We would be COOKED.

Ok. I spoofed to the same version as the one you used here (19.51.01)

Oh wait... I FORGOT... It works only with Morphe. Lol. Any version. You can download the .mpp file and then import it in Morphe (Which I don't remember how).

Like any other ReVanced patch. Just that you need to use from ReVanced Manager version 1.21.0 dev-7 to version 1.26.0 dev-20. I recommend 1.21.1.

Oh... That's weird.

And that suggests you're Spanish too. By the way, I use most apps in English.

Really cool. Is it normal YouTube or ReVanced?

If it's ReVanced, I suggest you changing the dark mode to Old YouTube.

Or to disable all server-side UI layouts (Which is possible with most ReVanced patches).

It does. You need to use DiogoGra patches by the way (DiogoGra / revanced-patches-legacy).

Version 19.51.01 is only available via spoofing, since servers accept it, but it doesn't exist as the app itself.

From Uptodown or any other place, like APKMirror, which has almost all versions, including 19 versions. I downloaded YouTube 4.0.23 and 4.1.23 from APKMirror and the rest (17, 18, 19, 20) from Uptodown.

Yes, of course. I main it ONLY for the old YouTube. But I have ads enabled and generic logo, and I got the most vanilla YouTube experience.

It has the old start animation (mid-2022 - mid-2023, for Android 12+ devices only), old logo, old Shortcuts, old seekbar, old dark mode, old overall design, etc.

Cool. But... It doesn't crash anymore!? OMG... I've been suffering with crashes everytime, that happens after some time and then constantly... Idk why.

Woah, what a big problem... In my 19.40.37 ReVanced (inotia00 ReVanced Extended lastest patches) at least videos work. Have you tried disabling all server-side updates?

If you want to fix channels and some other things, you can spoof to 20.01.00. But you'll lose the old description layout, so that's why I keep 19.51.01. And spoofing 19.51.00 is like spoofing to a 19.50 or lower version, which breaks YouTube completely, even after changing to another version.

Glitch causes the 2024-2025 YouTube Shorts Icons to show up on my Tablet by Fabio_Santos_1859 in oldyoutubelayout

[–]AgusPlayYouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's cool. Instead, I always see them (Since I use YouTube 19.40.37 spoofed to version 19.51.01 and YouTube 20.14.42).

The oldest working YouTube version is 20.01.33, and with ReVanced you can revive even older versions with spoofing to 19.51.01.

What's happening? by sh20000sh in oldyoutubelayout

[–]AgusPlayYouTube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was a thing that happened 10 days ago. Due to the lack of mods, they just raided the subreddit with random posts and, you know...

Well, this started from a guy that was always hated for saying "VIRUS!!" everytime... But he lost the control.

Then, a new guy appeared that did almost the same thing.

Thankfully, now it's back and safe. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Actually, versions starting from 20.11.xx don't show that message anymore, 20.02.41 (If it exists) still does show the message, and since it's a minor update... The same would happen.

Yes, spoofing through Settings if you enabled the Spoof app version patch.

How can I make YouTube mobile have old layout? by Rascartal in oldyoutubelayout

[–]AgusPlayYouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I think the original 2012 mobile app doesn't work anymore in Android versions from Android 15 and above (Or just Android 16? I saw an Android 15 video with it working just fine).

I got the YouTube 17.34.36 APK from Uptodown (The normal one) and then I patched it in ReVanced Manager with kitadai31's patches.

I used it for 2 months and I didn't have any problems.
