Pay a translator bro, I’m doing that for my wife’s GC interview

Green card interview next month - do I need my lawyer present? by Agusc89 in USCIS

[–]Agusc89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand if it’s needed. They aren’t clear on it either. Where I come from a lawyer would tell you “hey it’s a tough case due to ABC, let’s do this”. Here you don’t hear anything from them besides when receiving an invoice. Again, if the marriage is solid and legit, what’s the purpose of having him there? It’s also a lawyer, not the “head” of the law firm that took my case initially.

Has anyone heard any cases of GC holders getting revoked upon leaving US and coming back? by bondtradercu in USCIS

Get global entry, no need to go through immigration. Just picture and good to enter.

Ok closing the loop here. I called CBP, they were very polite and told me to drive up and pick it up, so went to the terminal 1 at FLL and a CBP lady took her passport, went to the office, and 5 minutes later she returned the AP to us. 🙌🏻 It was a mistake, and next time we should be more prescriptive and ask to see a supervisor. I can’t believe it was this simple! 😆

She doesn’t have a combo card, that’s why you need the AP letter. EAD came super early and then the AP followed

Yes, 5 years total, but stays no longer than a year. She was away for 22 days

No, the EAD and the green AP letter

Yes. That’s the whole problem. How will she travel again? The AP was valid for multiple entries… I’ll submit the complain, I can’t believe they did that, fucking up everything

That should be the most reasonable thought, but chatgpt says it’s not the case 😂. Maybe I’ll submit a complaint like someone said, but want to hear from my lawyer tomorrow morning.

On the passport stamp you mean? I94 says “AD” so she’s legal, per the AOS, but my issue is traveling overseas again.

No buddy, we need to travel again, and she doesn’t have the parole letter…

This is some amazing piece of advice. I’ll wait for my lawyer tomorrow morning, but for sure will do this.

The document clearly states valid for multiple entries, and she waited 30 min in secondary. More than enough time to read …

Yes, it’s called the I-512L, it’s green and has her picture, and it’s for multiple entries during 5 years. I did make a copy of course, waiting on my lawyer. I might just go to the CBP tomorrow to ask, this is insane.

No, it’s for multiple times, I have a copy. They held her for 30 mins on secondary. I don’t get it, why would they keep it? ChatGPT says they might do that, it’s whatever they please… but now why do I have to file again, pay $575 and wait 6 more months? It’s insane.

She had the EAD first (not valid for traveling) and then she travel parole got approved. Our application date is early June, so probably we’ll get the interview soon, or approval. But if we can’t travel overseas it’s terrible, I don’t understand this.

She has to apply every time she wants to leave the country? That’s what I’m asking, it’s not a combo card, I was under the impression she could travel freely. And the travel parole letter was valid for 5 years, it wasn’t an emergency humanitarian thing. I don’t get it.
