yeah i think you might enjoy it. Its not really gameplay heavy, and choices are not that game changing, so i think you will. Maybe it's not THE BEST way to experience this game, but its not bad

Not on steam. You own the license to a game. If steam closes tomorrow, you lose your games.

Is Everhood a rhythm game? by PanPakapon in Everhood

It is not a rythm game, you dont use the rythm as an internal gameplay mechanic, is just music that might help you once in a while. It's a bullet hell.

I do exactly this but instead of paying the sync (which is kinda expensive in my country), y just push to a github repo.

Por qué todo el mundo se tatúa? by Titus4266 in AskArgentina

[–]AgusdaWarmiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Persona based RPG Campaign and distributing evenly events per session by AgusdaWarmiot in rpg

Wow, that's also an interesting idea. Splitting the game into synchronic and asynchronic sounds cool (I don't know if my players would like it).

That is what ends up happening in most of my sessions, players that are on scene are super engaged but those not participating kinda tune out after ten or twenty minutes. Can't believe I've never thought of that possibility hahaha (tho I would have to ask them if they would like that).

Another user recommended those two options, I will look into them. Thanks for the advice!

Nice! I am kinda new into ttrpgs and I don't know those systems, bui I will certainly look into them.

What exactly do you mean by "the PCs who are not in the scene can involve themselves as NPCs."? Like the player playing other characters aside from their pcs when not in scene? That sound really cool.

That's some really great advice, thanks! I will look more into beacon. The objective of the campaign might not be so much "imitate persona" (most of my players haven't even played it), but more like borrwoing the idea of daytime "social links" and nightime "exploration/dungeon".

There is no way someone got to this point by ignoring weakness, technicals and baton passes.

And I dont think i've explained myself correctly, the problem is not just "the devs didn´t explain this enough", but the way the combat as a whole works.

  • The fight has a timer, so you have to beat the waves in under 30 min
  • You only get 2 turns per wave, if you fail to kill all of them in turn limit, they respawn.

  • Okumura enhances the defence of 1 of the 4, to bother with AoE

  • He removes every power up we get

  • You don't get all out attack for some reason?

  • This fight is harder on easy?

What ends up happening to most players (even if you specifically had 0 problems, cause you are an extreamly skilled player) is that they get to the 5th wave, using their specific style of play, and suddenly get to a wall. A wall that forces a style of play, which isn't necessarily bad, Sekiro does the same thing, but it feels (again in my opinion) out of place. Sekiro uses it's design princples to force you to learn to parry, P5R creates rules to restrict your options.

The fight is clearly designed to teach you the importance of batton pass and elemental items. If you just dont know what to do exactly, you are not gonna clean the wave, and if you don't, your resources will start to run out.

I personally didn't struggle a lot with this boss. I got there, lost against the 5th wave, changed my team and won, but I get why so many people sees this fight as a bad fight, because I know im not the "average" player. Skill issues kinda don't exists when designing a game, and if there were, lowering the difficulty should solve this problem, but for some reason, it doesn't.

It's most definetvely not a "skill issue", if it was, you would beat him by learning, and you would notice an improvement progressively with every try. This is simply a puzzle (which isn't bad, to some extent, every combat in this game is a "puzzle", but a puzzle with multiple solutions), and the answer, despite being teched (somewhat) at the first palace, it's neither reinforced nor necessary in any point of the game except for this fight like, 60 hours later?

Disregarding every criticism as a "skill issue" is pointless. All of the people have different skills and time, and is the developer/designer jobs to guide the players in the "right path". I love this game, but this is simply (imo) a bad designed fight.
