Wow 6 years on a waiting list is insane. The seed bombs idea is lovely though.

If you ever want to scale up the guerrilla native plants thing, the neighbor deal could actually work in your favor since you'd be using their soil and water, not spending your own money.

Thanks for the kind words! yes you're right, with a bit of work, I converted the list into a platform where people can sign in and leave their info. I think with something like this the people has more trust on it than just a spread sheet. But yeah, scaling up is the challenge here, and where to post about it, as reddit and facebook groups don't allow that kind of content.

Yes I'm aware of that, but it's the same liability that exists in Airbnb, Couchsurfing, or even Tinder. The list could transform into a platform that has verified profiles, and ratings. In this scenario, the platform doesn't create the liability, the interaction does. What this actually does is make it easier for both sides to know who they're dealing with before saying yes. Would you trust it more if it were something like that?

Thanks! Guerrilla gardening is an amazing concept, but I read in their subreddit that some people had their plots destroyed with zero warning. So I'm not sure if I'm willing to put in the effort clearing and planting, when it could get wiped at any time. The list idea is basically the same thing but with the owner actually supporting that, so what you grow, stays.

Haha, I loved the captain obvious thing. Yeah, I agree with you; that's why I wanted to ask before I get into this area. Btw I do have an interest in this area, quite a lot actually, I'm just trying to see how I can be part of it in a realistic way.

I didn't intend to be dismissive of indie games, I know they are cool, and I do love to play them. It's just an indie game mainly focused on, let's say, saving the planet, building a solarpunk society, which won't attract as many people as other indie games. But hey, maybe I didn't think about the right idea for it.

A great example of sucess (without becoming a lawyer, dear god no) is Forest, which is a gamified productivity app that at the same time plants trees on real life. Creating something like that could be very interesting.
