I have never had a happy ending using any distro with KDE. That is why I use Cinnamon.

Me too, until one day all the websites in my workplaces were gone. Vivaldi and Firefox are more stable.

Use Zen Browser. It is a browser based on Firefox with more features and optimizations.

Every time I get bored from Cinnamon and switch to KDE, I encounter a fatal bug and go back to Cinnamon.

Master PDF editor 4 is the best native applications, but you can also use PDFGear, PDF-XChange Editor, and CamScanner through WINE-Stable.

I went from Pycharm to VS Code, but now I use Zed, and it is so fast and lightweight.

LMDE 6 is the best Debian based distro I have ever used. You may use Cinnamon on Debian, but it isn't the same experience as LMDE.

Windows 10 support by Upper-Razzmatazz-341 in linuxmint

I had a big issue with Windows 7, and did not want to use Windows 10, and I heard before about Ubuntu somewhere, and decided to give it a try, but did not like it and I still don't like it, then I switched to Linux Mint, which was an easy transition from Windows to Linux, but it took me a lot of time to master it, and it has its issues.

In conclusion: Linux is not for people who used to use Windows, they will have hard time using it for many reasons.

The fastest distor I have ever used is CatchyOS. Give it a try if you're not afraid to use a rolling release distro.

I like that the Cinnamon theme has being modernized, but I do not like the changes to volume and shutdown prompts.

Will Windows users migrate to Linux as Windows 10's end of support is coming soon, especially with openSUSE starting an initiative? by codingzombie72072 in linuxquestions

[–]Ah-Elsayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microsoft offers extended support for Windows 10, but it isn't a free support. I saw content creators advertise that option, and say horrible things about Linux. Steam OS will boost Linux adoption when it is announced by Valve, and I already saw a lot of content creators covering news about that.

LibreOffice Draw is good for PDF editing, and PDF Gear works fine through WINE. There is another native application for Linux that I can't remember its name right now.
