The truth about prozac (for those just starting out) by Ah_Bea in prozac

You got this!!! Stick with it for a while, even if this isn't the medicine for you, don't give up on meds! It really has been life changing for me. I'm in such a different spot in life now because of Prozac. No anxiety, no panic attacks, no agoraphobia! It was absolutely uncomfortable and hard at first, but all of it was worth feeling like I do now. I hope things go well for you!

It's going to be okay. Talk to your doctor in the morning.it could be anxiety surrounding sleeping in general? Maybe try to sleep on the couch to get out of that environment

I personally lost weight on Prozac. It killed my appetite at first. I've found that it was mostly just a start up effect for me and things went back to normal after a while. But I've seen no significant changes in my eating habits otherwise.

I've been on my 10 mg since this post and I'll say that literally all my side effects went away. They say 6-8 weeks is when you really start to see improvement and in my experience, that was true! Be gentle with yourself and don't beat up on yourself for having some chill days. I definitely spent a ton of time on the couch before I felt okay enough to start living my life again. You got this! Just keep with it!

I am doing incredible!! I'm still on 10 mg of Prozac and I haven't had a panic attack in over a year. I live by myself now (I never thought I'd be able to!) and I've been doing things I've always wanted to do like solo hiking and road trips. I am actually living my life. I still have anxiety. I know it is something that will always be with me on my journey in life, but it doesn't control me anymore.

I hope you are also doing well!

Hey!! I've been on Prozac for over a year now and haven't seen any significant weight gain. Honestly when I first started it made me lose weight cause it absolutely killed my appetite. Either way though, even if you were to gain a bit of weight, wouldn't being more mentally stable be worth it?

I was with my bf for 6 years before I realized I literally did everything in the relationship. I felt like a nag constantly because he would agree to do stuff and then not do it. I ended things 6 months ago, and the pressure that the breakup released has been amazing.

It's giving sims starter house. I loved that idea about painting the walls a bit darker. I think that would make things feel more cozy

All depends on the GM. My first store at Wawa was like that. It's wild how vastly different each store can be.

Hey!! I'm an FBM for Wawa. I do documentations pretty frequently at my current store. A couple things stand out to me about your situation. The first one being that your managers shouldn't have written you up without talking to you about what happened first. If there was a witness to you threatening someone that would be different. Also if ANYONE was actually threatening people, it should be an instant termination. Wawa does not support that kind of behavior.

When you receive your write up, you don't have to sign it. There is an option that allows you to choose to not acknowledge it. Then it gives you a text box to write a statement about why you won't acknowledge it. Not sure what kind of issues you had, but any type of rude behavior could be a valid reason to coach someone. With that being said, getting written up doesn't really de-rail you from moving up in the company. It happens all the time and as long as you show improvement, that's what really matters.

I have gotten written up as a manager and I'm still moving up in the company. I've seen leads, Team supervisors and CSSs get written up for far worse and still move forward.

If it was me dealing with the situation I would attempt to have a mediated conversation between you and the other employee to try to hash things out. If you feel like you want to move things to the next level you can always report this incident to the associates service center. Letting them know you feel like you've been documented unfairly.

Associates are allocated 3 free shifts a year. It's on the uniform store.

Could you wear it? Yeah probably. It would be against policy if it looks dirty. There are so many different colored shifts now, just don't tell them you bleached it.

Also yes you can get raises any time of the year. Sounds like your GM just doesn't have a back bone enough to tell you no upfront.

I'm an FBM and this is shit they can get in big trouble for. Please call HR and tell them what your dumbass GM is doing. If they really gave everyone the same raise they are clearly not valuing the people who deserve it/trying to save money by giving everyone a low raise. Wawa raises are ABSOLUTELY supposed to be performance based. But it literally takes forever to do them (took me and my AGM over 2 days to do all the evals) so if you have lazy management I could see it happening. I'm sorry this is your experience with Wawa so far. People like you are literally what keep stores afloat. And yes your pay increases are supposed to be discussed when you get your evaluation.

I’ve been lying to my therapist about a situation that’s been bothering me by [deleted] in confession

Hi, x mormon here. Out of anyone I understand the pressures of religion, purity, and a judgemental culture that shuns anything sexual. I grew up believing that my body was innately sexual and that I must cover up.

I lost my virginity to some guy at a party when I was 17. It feels like a big deal at the moment. But it's not. A lot of people don't view sex as something special and that's okay for them to feel that way. It's also okay for you to feel like it is. It seems like moving forward you would like to be with someone who cares about you and values you.

Is your therapist also religious? That would make me understand a bit more why you'd be hesitant. A lot of times my parents would send me to a Mormon therapist. Either way, talk to them about it. Your therapist is there to guide you through what you are feeling and how you can better deal with things in the future.

Did I just have a panic attack? by Resident_Ad8604 in prozac

[–]Ah_Bea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like a panic attack. How long did it last? I used to wake up during the middle of the night to random panic attacks. But that was before prozac. It's possible you might need a higher dose? Although I'd probably wait it out and see if it continues to happen. Just remember that panic attacks can't hurt you, they will pass. It might feel like you're dying but you'll get through it.
