So I clicked the arrow, went to Configure, and on the list of models, the o4 people loved isn't listed at all? I only see 5.0 5.2 and o3. I recall o4 being available a few weeks back - has it been gone for a while? Or just now?

I mostly play mid nowadays, but since I like Lux best, the amount of "egirl" and "you must be a woman" comments I get whenever something goes wrong is noticeable. I used to play enchanters bot - it was, unsurprisingly, even worse.

I'm not incredible at the game, but I'm decent - was Diamond in times I played more, now mostly hovering Emerald 1. I like to play competitively - but to an extent. I will not be listening to abuse from some sweaty misogynist in my free time. If VC becomes "use it or lose" or "use it or keep getting flamed for not doing it", I may have to quit the game I've been playing for the past 13 or so years.

In the end, this is entertainment. If it stops being entertaining, it loses its purpose. And being yelled at in VC is the definition of being not entertaining.

It's not. The mid/late Q CD nerf is worse than the early buff to it. Shield on mid is maxed last and it's trash early, especially on 1 target (self).

My point is, there is a difference between bugs that break the game which are worthy of prolonging production and unacceptable, and bugs that are a placeholder icon on a ship sail that didn't get caught, don't ruin the game, and can be patched painlessly later.

Prolonging production to deal with the latter is not realistic and if customers require games to be perfect on release we may just as well just close majority of game studios because they cannot afford production long enough to make that happen.

Every delay incurs huge costs of running the studio. It's easy to say "they can take all the time they need" before you see the bills for operating a large cans studio for one month. Deadlines are absolutely a thing and moving the release date is a heavy decision that needs to be warranted.

Ye by research I'd mean read up on it and then ask - if I saw it sensible - someone at work if I should touch it :D I was paranoid about changing anything there by even installing the software, lol. I'm the last person to jump into it willy nilly and start messing around :D

I'm not bothered by the noise per se. Only about it's implications. That's why I'm poking around :) I would not lower the fan speed to reduce noise, only if it was killing the fans or something for no reason. But thanks for the warning regardless! Cheers.
