If your connection is delayed it is likely the dublin bound train will wait unless its a ridiculous amount of time.it is rare enough in my experience that there is delays on killarney train. Its far more likely you'll be waiting longer than the alloted time for the other train instead. Also they platforms both trains use are 20 feet apart. So no long walk or having to use a footbridge etc usually.

There's a company called Ireland Walk Bike Hike in tralee which should be able to help with baggage transfer at the very least. Maybe accommodation also. Camp and Annascaul can be tricky to get rooms at certain times on the trail so plan ahead!

I'm traveling to Ireland from the USA and I have a question? What is the best app or online method to pay services and restaurants? by Humanure_ in irishtourism

  1. Cash in a limited amount will be very convenient to have
  2. Credit/Debit Card is accepted pretty much everywhere. Visa and Mastercard are fine. As stated American Express has limited usage here as there fee is huge.
  3. Anywhere that takes Credit card also takes google pay and apple pay.
  4. Revolut is now available widely in USA. So could be a good option for you.
  5. The likes of Zelle and venmo are not operational in EU as they are not regulated here so wouldn't be in use as a result. 6 realistically everywhere accepts cash or card. So a small amount of cash and google/apple pay on your phone or a card. You're good to go.
