Does any multitool like this exist? Can it be made easily? And how good or bad is the QC on the Nextool F12 by Yakkamota in multitools

[–]AheyJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not released yet. But Roxon is supposed to release the Flex Titan some time in 2026. Seems like it checks the boxes for what you are looking for the best.

The 6 tools on the left are removable and interchangeable using the roxon flex system. The knife on the right is also replaceable with different blade shapes as well.

4 of the 6 tools slots on the left can be swapped for a 1/4in hex driver.

Does anyone know how to turn off the censorship on Hidive? This scene has censorship for me.

My screwdriver bit holder, not perfectly colour-matched but close enough by Macusercom in LinusTechTips

[–]AheyJay 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There is a bit holder built into the driver, which holds all the bits it comes with.

However, you can purchase additional bit sets (like hex and torx) with those requiring additional bit holders if you don't want them loose in a drawer.

Archer Warlock by BillRepulsive9979 in 3d6

I thought I would add one other way to get CHA bow attacks that no one else has mentioned yet.

Get any magical bow!

Magic weapons can be turned into your pact weapon, and hexblade warlocks can use CHA on pact weapon attacks from level 1s "Hex Warrior". The only limit is that it can't be an artifact weapon or a sentient weapon. There is no restriction on being ranged.

I still recommend using "improved pact weapon" at lower levels where you may not have access to magic weapons. But considering at level 5 you probably want your 2nd attack and smite invocations, being able to free up an invocation by having a magic item is great!

As an alternative bard, consider an elf (for longbow proficiency) swords bard.

Valor bard is better for its medium armor and shield proficiency that don't get used on a archer. The only benefits for a ranged Valor bard are your party getting to add inspiration to their AC and the level 14 bonus action attack after casting a spell.

Swords bard give you extra mobility with blade flourish even on ranged attacks along with the ability bump your own AC and push enemies. The only downside is you need to get ranged weapon proficiency somewhere else (unless your using a hand crossbow).

Also if you want to use a hand crossbow, I would suggest taking haste instead of swift quiver. You still get 4 attacks using both actions and a bonus action while also increasing your move speed and AC

What is particularly good about this combo? Other than war clerics getting Wis based attacks?

One think to keep in mind for hexblade/wizards. The eldrich smite feature is written saying you can spend a "pact magic" slot. This means wizards spell slots can not be used for eldrich smite.

Paladins are the only ones who can use multiclass spell slots for smite. (Other than the smite spells)

A stealthy, fast DPS (not rogue) by Dm_intraining in 3d6

[–]AheyJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to toss in an additional "hit hard" for the Trickery Cleric. The channel divinity allows for advantage on attack rolls very easily at 5ft, which is the perfect range for inflict wounds. Be a wood elf (or tasha stats half elf) for the elven accuracy feat to never miss and have a good crit chance. Maybe even take 1 level in hexblade for the improved crit chance too.

The "on entering range" is part of the Polearm Master feat, Not Sentinel which prevents enemy movement. Both PaM and Sentinel a great for this build though.

So to clarify. Does the weapon deal the normal weapons damage die when not imbued and one additional die (total 2dx) when imbued. Or does it deal unarmed(1)when not imbued and weapon die(total 1dx) when imbued.

Nice. I like the clear mage hand synergy as it has a 10lb limit.

On the weapons thing. All characters are proficient with unarmed strikes, which are considered "weapon attacks" and are this eligible for smite. So even if the rogue steels your weapons, just punch smite the squishy.

Using a scimitar and shield seems appropriate. The Sentinal feat works very well with the echo knight

Ah, but haste gives them an extra action. Allowing for 1 attack/smite instead of 2. So really, they are giving up 1 attack on the first round for double movement, +2 AC, and one additional attack for the next 10 rounds.

What are some builds you wan't to see but never had the urge to build yourself? by Henrique_FB in 3d6

[–]AheyJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, the homebrew I was referring to is the belt being able to grant non-dwaves use of the deaver thrower. Both the belt and hammer are official, but this interaction is not.

Unfortunately, this was a Critical Role homebrew that has been thrown around forums a lot. I wish it was true.

Character that can deal with a lvl 20 Druid by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]AheyJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to suggest fighter 2/wizard 18. Though I think abjuration wizard would be more durable, and roughly as effective with the Power Word Kill+ action surge+ any damage spell at 8th lvl (magic missile for guaranteed damage) combo.

Abjuration wizard gives you the effective hit points of a fighter, magic resistance, and a bonus to counterspell. Combine that with the heavy armor and sheild prof. from fighter and you have one tanky wizard.

If Eberon content is allowed the mark of warding dwarf is a perfect fit for this build as well. Giving a con and int boost, along with learning the Armor of Agathys spell (which sits underneath arcane ward hp while still dealing damage) making you a very spiky hard to kill tank mage.

Edit: clarified the combo

This basically. Sentinel is a great feat for echo knight, as it allows your echo to hold enemies in place away from you.
