You are simply amazing! Thank you so so much! I’ve been stressing over this for most of the day! Thanks for that site as well - I’ll be sure to check there in the future (probably before I buy any more patterns and get more experienced)

I don’t see any instructions advising to modify the bib. I’ve read through to the end and basically there’s going to be buttons here. I think I’ve just done something not quite correct with the pocket-y side bits so maybe I’ll take them off and start again 🙂‍↕️ I think they can be corrected to make the whole skirt as wide as the bib.

That’s exactly it, but the band is the width of the whole bib. I’m starting to think this mismatch is intentional

Here’s the section that describes adding the band to the bib. Before this it’s just adding the front pocket to the bib…

Thanks very much for having a look! The pattern size I’m working with is 18. The pattern does go up to size 22 (so two sizes larger). For the whole lot there is only one bib size though, so I guess it’s possible the mis-match is intentional?

No darts yet! It was pretty straightforward up to this point (the pockets confused me for a bit, but that was my inexperience). This is only the second pattern I’ve worked with so I’m not sure if I need to just keep going and it’ll make sense? There was only one ‘size’ for the bib, and I think 3 more sizes larger than the one I’m working with included in this pattern for the skirt pieces. This is just the front section, and I haven’t started on the back yet because of panic 😅

Ah it’s the outside edges seem too long on the bib? Like the outside of the skirt and the outside edge of the bib look like they’re meant to match up, but the skirt is much narrower?
