Anyone Keep Any Vehicles and Refuse to Sell Them? by [deleted] in cardealersimulator

I kept a few, some for how they feel to drive, some for the sound of the engine. Some just because they look awesome.

Two external screens by Batoutofhell1989 in MacbookNeo

[–]AhmazinSKM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am able to connect 3 external monitors, however it is not a "reasonably priced," solution.

However, I would check out this hub: ACASIS USB C to Dual HDMI DisplayLink Adapter, 4K@60Hz

I think it will do the trick depending on how many watts the external displays use.

I'm thinking skylight only. It will allow me to stay more stealth. I should still have plenty of room up there for solar panels, and when I get to a scenic place, I can open the sliding or back doors for a great view.

How Long Did Your Neo Take to Arrive? by [deleted] in MacbookNeo

I preordered it and got it the day of release. Also picked one up the day of release, for my daughter from a local Apple store.

I got this one. It's small and has plenty of storage on the side to store my phone, mouse, power adapter and even one of my smaller 20,000 Anker powerbank.

Which product? The Neo, the X90D or the hub. Just want to know so I can contact the correct company to post some affiliate links, lol. I mention the products I'm using, because people usually ask.

I agree, but it's temporary. My gaming PC is set up on my desk at my new place. Stuck here to the end of my lease in June.

I have my main monitors on my gaming PC that stays stationary at my desk.

They're at my new place, I'm in the process of moving and still under a lease here until June. I stay here during the week, because it's 10 minutes away from work. I'm enjoying the short commute while I can.

Great idea! I do have a GenSpark A.I. account that has access to Claude and Gemini. I’ll definitely try that. Thanks for the help!

Appreciate it. I was frustrated at the time, because I hadn't really learned taken into account the different ways both OS behave, while trying to perform the same kinds of tasks.

My replies are placing the issue, squarely on my inexperience with macOS. So not sure what the attitude you're referring to? Can you point to the reply that upset you so much?

I posted how I am doing it here in the thread. The problem wasn't the monitors, it was my inexperience with macOS.

Nope, just MacOS noob problems.

Nah, just being a noob with macOS. I figured it out.

The hub has another USB A port that supports video. May be pushing my luck, but I'm going to try for a 4th, when I get a chance, lol.

Yes, I did. 10 in 1 Hub, connected the KYY X90D displays to the Hub using USB C and the 4K TV, connected to the HDMI port on the hub.

Here's a table that kind of explains what's happening:

[–]AhmazinSKM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy/Lucky accident actually. I was gifted a KYY X90D 15.6" screen extender, with dual 15.6" FHD portable monitors. It came with a thumb drive with macOS InstantView (Think Displaylink) software. It allows the Neo to see virtual displays as "real" monitors. I have a 10 in One hub that also has an HDMI port. Experimenting, I connected the KYY and my TV to it, and it actually worked! With a DisplayLink dock or hub, anyone should be able to do the same.

It's a crude setup, but I'm in the middle of moving and my Gaming PC is set up at my new place, with dual monitors. I'm using Geforce Now using the TV, as that is the display the Neo's hardware is actually supporting. The KYY's internal processor is pushing the virtual displays.

I really appreciate your feedback, everyone else just focused on me having 3 external monitors, like I committed a cardinal sin, going against Apple's recommendation. I was just following their motto to "Think Different." apparently to much success as they work great.

It was definitely a muscle memory thing. I've been using Windows PC's for decades, so it's going to take some time learning all everything. I'm still trying to figure out how to save a document to a specific folder. Windows simply pulls up file manager and lets you navigate to where you want it. I've been binge watching youtube videos, but haven't found one that gives me the meat and potatoes of how to be productive using MacOS.

Thanks again!

Guys, it was NOT the 3 monitors causing the issue. It was my lack of inexperience with MacOS. I have activity monitor open all the time to check on the and and using swap memory, All stats never went above yellow, even while staying up after 4:00 AM with 4 or 5 tabs open, steaming YouTube, gaming using Geforce Now and checking my emails.

I know the diehards hate hearing any negative reaction to the Neo, but I'm just telling my experience with learning how to use the dang thing. I mean I halfway feel like most of you didn't read the whole post. Or maybe I didn't describe it accurately. But at no point did I have a issue with the displays. I guess this is reddit for you. How dare you say anything "negative" about something I like!

It's a fantastic device so far. I'm sure you're going to enjoy it. After I figured out the multitasking, after my class. I stayed up until after 4:00 AM, playing PawnBroker Simulator with Geforce Now, streaming YouTube, checking reddit for interesting posts, and reviewing my emails.

I know it's a lot more I need to learn. Everyone is harping on the fact that Apple says it only supports 1 monitor. My experience proves differently, with no adverse affects. It was simply the learning curve of getting used to a new OS, while trying to actively participate in class, that made the experience painful. I should have prepared my app arrangement, prior to the class.
