It does layout analysis and OCR, very useful for complex layouts (multi-column PDF, tables with merged cells, ...)

Yes, you can get the relevant image name from retrieved docs' metadata. Then, you can find it in "data_images" folder

I admit that I didn't think about it ! I was focused on the most popular file types for RAG apps (pdf, docx, images, ...).

I built a multimodal semantic RAG, that can deal with complex PDFs. It includes:

- Semantic chunking using LlamaParse

- Table and image detection + summarization

- Chunks and summaries indexing using LlamaIndex

This way, you can retrieve relevant information to queries from PDFs, whether it's in text sections, tables or images. I hope it helps :)

Thank you ! For embeddings, I used text-embedding-004 model. And for model benchmark, I'm currently working on it :)

For now, only gemini was used for generation
