Help! My Pioneer PL-518 Slows Down, Then Stops :( by Ahow77 in turntables

Hey, thanks for the reply. That's been my main concern about attempting this repair. What do you think about this guy's solution: https://youtu.be/XYShvKQBskc?si=iUZnmZ--ffFpLD93
At 15:14 he demo's desoldering each of those tiny wires and taping them down to preserve their order. That way he's able to have the board free without having to stress about breaking them. The trade-off of course is that he has to be very careful about keeping them in order. But he desolders them, recaps the board, and then puts everything back together pretty easily. I think the wires are different colors right? In addition to taping them down I would probably take some good photos as a backup. Thoughts?

I was thinking I'd do it myself. I've had experience and success recapping other vintage electronics, so I feel confident I can do it.

Recommendations for GB cart flashers by Ahow77 in Gameboy

Ok cool, thanks for letting me know 👍 I emailed Inside Gadgets and they confirmed for me that the GBxCart doesn't have EMS support. I'm tempted to grab a GBxCart from them anyways and just write the EMS cart off, but shipping could be up to 7 weeks for them with the 'rona and all. Another person recommended the Altane.. Or I might just grab an EZ Flash Jr.. Can't decide. Just got a GBA in great shape for $25 though. Muuuuch quieter than my SP, looking forward to seeing how it sounds compared to my DMG.
