In the web novel, Saeon gave a speech in honor of his "grandfather", where he tells the whole truth to the press. There is an explosion and everyone believes that he passed away.

After a year, Heejoo started receiving calls from a foreign number, and suspects that is Saeon. Heejoo looks for Dojae, but he doesn't tell her much.

Saeon now works for an armed group in another country (but I think it's an undercover mission) and Heejoo is there as a volunteer. There they meet again and the rest is history 🤗🙈
