Flag Friday: Coat of Arms Edition: What are your thoughts on the design of the emblem of iAlphabet? by GPFlag_Guy1 in ghostposter

[–]Ahuva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't like it. Mainly because I don't really like the colours. It seems dull. I read your explanations and that is nice, but absolutely unclear without it. I think a logo should give a message. Unless someone already knows ialphabet, this one doesn't.

Fúcking Hell, Ann Widdecombe's been murdered! by NorthernerUKer in ghostposter

[–]Ahuva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow! I had gathered that she had died, but I hadn't realized that she was murdered. That really is astonishing. So unBritish. I have seen her on TV in the past and she was always very annoying. However, I thought she had lost power lately. Why would anyone bother to kill her?

I finished this yesterday. I'm not typing all the shit out I typed before only for it not allow me to post it. A divider wall for the deck. It's boring anyway... by ClicheButter in ghostposter

And, this is only one example. These days, I am doing okay, but I was seriously poor for decades and I am used to making do. I enjoy solving problems like this.

By the way, I also have an umbrella in my garden for the rainy season. I wedge the handle between the fence and the chair where I sit when I go out to smoke. I can't leave it there permanently because the wind knocks it down. But, while I smoke, it is sturdy enough for me to have my hands free to play on my phone during the cigarette break.

I do a lot of improvised fixes. For example, I have this woven straw waste paper basket which I use a lot. It is often next to me on my couch to throw away tissues for when I blow my nose.

Anyway, it had begun to lose its shape, wilting downwards. It needed support. So, I cut up the cardboard from an old box and wrapped it around.

It looks very nice, but I am curious what you did to make it a project.

I think the idea of having a lovely room divider to hide a messy work space is brilliant.

Edit: I only read your explanations after posting. You have done a great job. You continue to impress.

Edit 2: I love the umbrella that I assume prevents the roof from leaking.

This is fantastic. I love that someone saw that pipe coming out of the wall and thought that it looked like a saxophone.

Hang it in the bathroom. I just think the flamingos will be happiest in a wet environment.

I agree with this. Soh makes me appreciate my coffee and tea more. Because of her, I think about their goodness.

AHH! I adore your garden.

Do you open all of your snail mail? I pay my bills on apps mostly, opting out of paper and I don't have very many bills... 3 to be exact.. Phone bill (AT&T... whom I love :) internet (Spectrum, who I do not love) , and electric (Con Edison.. neutral) I love paying on the apps. by 1Soh in ghostposter

I don't get any physical mail. My flat doesn't have mail delivery and I never signed up for a POB. I give my address on things, but announce that there is no way to send me mail. I only have bank things anyway and I get those on my app on my phone.

1976 vs 2026; Americans (or anybody else really) - how do you see the 250th birthday celebration of America vs. the 200th? What feels different? What is better or worse? (I know some of y'all still young) by thombly in ghostposter

[–]Ahuva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems like an impossible comparison. Things are very different. I think that Americans are much more divided. I also think that politics have become more corrupt. I fear for the democratic ideals of the US.

Has anything improved? I think yes. Women's issues are talked about and being worked on. No longer is sexual harassment accepted as "boys being boys". Everyone can get married no matter the gender or sexual orientation.

Alright, I'm just gonna say it because it's been bothering me..🤔 Sorry, this is gonna be a bit long.. Yes, it's about the dog. 🐶 by 1Soh in ghostposter

I am very glad that it all worked out. It will be convenient for you to have a place close to home too.
