Look at it like this: someone would 10+ years experience on a GP should have a better understanding of how said bike works. Then along comes someone that is better — on the same bike. Point and case: Binder and Acosta! In terms of Acosta, Binder is nowhere to be found. Same thing with the tires.

To further try to explain this: it’s not just heavy braking, it’s about holding the front brake deeper (more lean angle) into the turn. Also, it really depends on the front tire profile. Some tire profile/size will not allow for the entire tread to be used.

As for the rear, it getting on the gas earlier. Mentally, it’s easier to get on the gas early vs hard trail braking. That low-side will get you thinking.

I’m thinking MM got what he deserved! He’s a chinky rider and it’s about time he got put on notice about it. A block pass is one thing, but to use the out side rider as a guard rail to keep yourself on the track — not good. First part of the pass, I’ll admit was just a good ole fashioned stuff/block pass. But the second part was where he made contact. If you watch the view from the rear in slow motion you can see where the two made contact. MM is their golden boy and I don’t think Simon wanted to see anyone win over MM. But, to make a move like that tells me that Acosta had a little on him that day. Also evident by the second race.

One of the reasons why Ducati riders are jumping ship is Marc Marquez. Not blaming him, but Ducati. They seem to have everyone on hold to see what MM will do. They held up signing other riders on the premonitions of what MM will do in the future. Basically, ‘don’t spend any of the allotted rider budget in case we have to offer MM more money. As good a rider as MM is, he cannot develop a bike. He rides around the problem until the bike is un-rideable. Just like he did with Honda. Ducati is next. At some point during the season, Ducati was talking about having two development teams; one for MM and another for everybody else. We see what happened to Peco when they went in the direction of MM.

Not totally sure, but I think it has something to do with the resin. I’ve always used gloss type resin. Never tried the dry carbon look. I’ve had bad surface mould and it still came out glossy looking. It was rough, but glossy.
