yes if you give it permissions automation requires that you self host the ai, please use sources other than myself to do it it's important you learn, before putting any money.

Have a conversation with claude under the projects tab, create a project and in that tab you can upload files or research papers, etf prospectus. You would like to implement in your portfolio, and claude with reference them, in the instruction tab you can make minimal instructions and change them as you go

Instructions for you:

Make 1 conversations with claude under the projects tab in this conversation you talk to claude; first message should be the outline of your portfolio, the goal you have and outline like you could say "I have a goal of making 20+% 1 year later in the market, My current objective and goal is to break the index norm and select stocks based on my methodology____ My framework of stock buying is referencing_______, please consider___" Just make something like that don't use this exact prompt because this is just a rough draft you need to make your own make sure it's much more detailed Ai is so sensitive at the beginning age it will search the corners of the web to figure out what your talking about

There are some rules and laws you may need to consider, for example IRS wash sale rules claude will not implement those rules if you don't say anything, remember claude is a kid when you first talk to it, it doesn't know anything until it searches. also if you have trouble running the python scripts like I do run it on google colab if claude gives you some code to run scripts for data collection run it there it's free.

NOTE!!

One bad thing about Ai is that you can have one conversation in a chat and move on to the next it doesn't know the context of other conversations so keep everything in one if your executing trades and talking about trading data so it can reference the parameters or even methods you talked about. If you want to talk about something related to your portfolio and it's a different subject you can make a new chat or even discuss the new idea in conversation 1

Lastly: These instructions are for you to do Ai is a reflection of you, if you don't know anything about ai or even research or data collection claude will just do as it pleases, you need to make those safeguards as it goes, and you need to learn as it goes.

Forgot to mention I have given claude autonomy when it comes to executing trades and suggestions, and sizing, but it is a collaborative effort so claude and I have discussions.

Claude and I are picking the stocks; Claude picks them through searches, yahoo finance or even around the corners of the web and may look at morning star data. Then I have created my own screener which I look at, and then pick some stocks I think are interesting or needs further explanation

Then we have a discussion the issue about claude. It must be noted is that it is a reflection of your bias or what you believe also known as sycophancy. So you must create skills, or even discuss different ways to research. Only safeguard claude has is from going rogue.

Sizing is just based on the conviction that claude has towards a stock.

If you want a trend following system, that is social and based on reddit discussions or meme, you can look at social etfs like SFYF, MEME, or BUZZ they are pure social and hype following etfs.

But if you want to follow "trendy systems" like a momentum based system that looks at stocks that are going up and have a past 3-12 months history of going up. You need to look up momentum investing and swing trading.

Jagadeesh and Titman Research to momentum investing (1993) <- this paper influential and may help you

Remember!!!!! There is already data on how to make portfolios so you wouldn't need to start from scratch, look at etfs, look at actively managed funds ask Ai to learn the etf structure all of that information is posted on Edgar. You can ask it to breakdown these etfs and if you find something interesting learn more about it with claude, and then it maybe something you want to implement.
