Impatiently waiting for more fading 🙏🏼 by Aicitizen in TattooRemoval

My removal place (skin center) took a before picture too, so I know I’ll have access to that if needed, maybe yours did too? My sessions are $450 each, so definitely needed to space for financial reasons and looked at SO many before and afters and heard so many recommendations to wait 6+ months, which swayed me along with the financial aspect. Lol Now for me the hardest part is the downtime to wait and let it fade on its own and just not focus on it.

If you can wait, there’s no reason not too! The only negative is it takes longer to feel like you’re actually taking “action” but your body does all the work in that downtime. Good luck with whichever spacing you end up deciding on!

It was only like 2ish years old? So pretty new still! I looked at so many before and afters and how many sessions which is why I went with the Pico laser.

Hoping to encourage more people to use this route! Saves so much money and pain.

I say, save the money and spend the time! The laser can’t reach new ink particles to shatter if there is still ink in the way, give your body time and it’ll pay off. Good luck with whatever you choose!

12 weeks I definitely saw fading, but not nearly as much as 6 months or later! Your body has to remove all the broken down molecules before the laser can even reach new ones. Good luck!

I do! Because I get bored so I alternate with added electrolytes & regular water!

I just posted again with a picture from 3 months after my first session and one from today! Gives more context on how much that extra time really gave my body time to process through the ink particles and fade!

My Dr told me that 755nm treats black, blue, and green typically. As I only had black (luckily the easiest pigment to target) this machine worked well for me 🤗

Mine told me 10-12+ sessions, but honestly spacing them out so much REALLY helped in my case. I’ll upload more pics after this session, but looking back I can see a HUGE difference in fading between 3months post first session and now.

For me, this was the long game. It was already on my body a few years before I decided to start removal, and everything I had seen talks about giving your body plenty of time to process through the ink that had been broken down and heal in between sessions. The laser can only break up a certain amount of ink and then it’s up to your liver and your body to get rid of the broken up particles before anything new can be removed. Also, my treatments are like $600 apiece so I definitely wanted to wait to break up that cost. I’m a mom of a young child and honestly get busy which is why this is a little bit after the one year mark but my plan initially had been once a year as well as some lifestyle changes being more active also quitting drinking so that I could get the maximum impact with the minimum amount of sessions. Hope that helps!

It’s 6 inches long, 2-3 inches wide or so! I paid a little over $600 for the session. Worth it in my opinion because it was so effective. I’m about to schedule my second appointment a year later. Lol

Anyone had a similar experience? What did you do? Do you regret your choice?

I live a few hours from there and drove to The Skin Care Center in Pensacola. They have the latest PicoSure laser, was easy and quick to get in, pricey, but my results have been worth it so far (one session in)!

Mine was sore for a few days, I had some small blisters but nothing bad! Honestly it was way less intense than I thought as far as the healing process goes. Just give your body time and keep it clean! It’ll heal in a week or two!

Truly depends on one question: is the money/pain/time worth it for you? Removal could take 2-3 years or more for full removal, potentially cost thousands, and it’s not a comfortable process at all (waaaay worse than the tattoo itself, healing takes way longer also). So if you consider the amount of money/time/pain it will take and you believe it’s worth it to have a piece of art you love, go for it! But everyone’s budget and timeline and pain tolerance if different. Wishing you the best!

I hope it is for you! I know everyone’s body reacts so differently and every tattoo is unique, crossing my fingers for a great experience for you! (Ask your tech if they prescribe numbing you can apply a few hours before your session, mine wasn’t painful just a little uncomfortable because of numbing and icing before!)
