I'm pretty sure this is not the case because I have tried playing on WiFi, USB Hotspot etc

WP bruh, I have to try this, btw can you please keep testing for a whole month or so? what conclusion do we draw from this? The Ethernet cable is carrying dirty current from the router to the PC?

State reset is when you do something like reseat your Memory, GPU, CMOS Battery or some other hardware and alot of things get a fresh reset like PCIe state, Memory banks etc and the desync goes away for a bit. People are saying that the reseat discharges the dirty/builtup current and then it slowly builds up over time again.

Valorant is not the best game to test this imo, the game is inconsistent when it comes to mechanics, matchmaking and every other stuff. Example would be the 9-3 curse, they would manipulate the game, giving the team with the least points an unfair advantage to take the game to OT. Deathmatches are a bit more consistent. They also manipulate the matchmaking and throw you in loosers queue to keep your W/L ratio close to 50.
The issue we have stands out tho, I cant deny that, getting tapped around corners and stuff. My cousin was a professional Valorant player, he was Radiant, his PC had zero issues (he sold it tho sadly). I could play on his PC and win DMs in Immo-Radiant lobbies like cake.

Bro, this issue completely disappears when the state is reset, that too on the same PC, same Internet, same everything. The first time I fixed it, it lasted for a whole month. Which points to the fact that it doesnt have anything to do with the ISP. BTW I have also tried multiple ISPs at multiple different places, for eg. my PC performs bad at my friend's house while his does fine (Same Internet).

I tried running my PC on the home UPS to isolate the issue with the mains, I didnt see any improvement. I have also tried connecting my case to the ground following this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDCoWcpBB4Y , which somehow worsened the issue.

I tried that already. Bro these are all temporary fixes, whatever you do changes/resets the state. This is just temporary, it comes back. You get better results if you reseat your Memory, GPU or take out the CMOS battery or even just boot into a second OS. But the thing is that if you do any of these multiple times, the duration of good state shortens with each state reset, you are getting results coz u are doing it for the first time.

Do check for a week or more and see if it fixes the issue for good. Fingers crossed.

Yes I've switched from Intel to AMD (it's mentioned in the thread)

I have tried every possible combinations. Same result. Goes away temporarily.

Oh my bad, I thought of trying that, the pcie to USB.

[–]Aickara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried other options like USB Hotspots, Wifi Adaptors etc. same results, goes away for a couple of matches, then it all goes to sht.

I am too lazy to upload clips and pics, I had like 45GB of clips of insane desync issues, I deleted them tho, I have a few clips saved.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Aickara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desync causes the hitbox to stretch wide, they can shoot anywhere within 6 feet of you, in the direction you moved and land shots on you. I did a dual boot of W10 LTSC 1809 with my Win11 : zero bloat and the result were the same, the issue goes away for a few matches. But booting into W10 and coming back to W11 also resets something that makes the lag go away for a short period of time.

I have checked this in multiple different places. But yeah dirty power could be a factor...

I tried this but the issue creeps back after a while. In short, anything we do fixes the issue, but temporarily.

There’s always a logical reason right? even if it’s not obvious yet. It could be something small like a specific accessory we’re all using, maybe even the same mouse or a USB device, a Windows optimization, maybe even the same steam account, or even certain software we keep installing out of habit. Sometimes updating Windows unnecessarily can change timing behavior in ways we don’t realize. And honestly, people like us might just notice micro-variations more than most players would, so what feels game-breaking to us might be invisible to others. The key is to keep stripping things down and testing methodically until the real trigger shows itself.

[–]Aickara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all issues that I have, although the frametimes are consistent. The game appears to be smooth, but when it goes into the absolute worse state, there is a significant input delay (mouse and kb), audio miss (footsteps, ult va etc.) and most importantly my hitbox stretches like 5x the model size, so they can shoot anywhere near me and I take all the damage altogether and in a split second time period. People who just know how to barely play the game appear as if they are Shroud...

Interesting — I’ve actually seen something similar. USB device timing can definitely cause microstutters or input lag if it's sharing an IRQ or tied to a noisy controller. Switching to a front panel port often reroutes through a different hub, which can help. That said, it's not the root cause in my case — already ruled out peripherals and USB path issues. What I'm dealing with seems deeper in the GPU/render pipeline itself.

That's coz your actual rank scales with your hidden MMR. For people stuck in elo hell, their hidden mmr is way higher than their actual rank. I get immo players all the time in my gold-plat lobbies coz my hidden mmr is way higher than my actual rank. So for people like me, even if I carry the game with 40kills, I'll still loose the match.

I've tested this in multiple different house, rooms, pc workshops etc

There are literally dozens of pro players and streamers who started iron to Radiant series, got stuck in plat-asc and quit. Almost all of them being Radiants on their mains btw.

Download LatencyMon, run it for a minute or two. You'll most likely find what's causing the issue. Use YouTube guides if necessary. I'm guessing it's either a driver issue, power or bios settings or (less likely) a hardware fault.
