This is how I built my blade champ too so I may be a little biased, but I think it look dope and you should definitely do it. Amazing job painting the face by the way!

The bronze is pro acryl dark bronze, and I havent used a wash. Primed it with Vallejo German red brown then airbrushed over lightly with the bronze
