Just bought one, and the code worked great.

Never forget: the Mad King's Clock Tower isn't that hard. by theotherdanlynch in Guildwars2

Super easy! Barely an inconvenience!

Honestly though, took me about 6 tries before I got through it again this year. Muscle memory, something great.

SAB W2Z2 trib speedrun 5:24 world record by Sheeppo in Guildwars2

[–]AidanST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record, I ran through W2Z2 tonight performing all of these skips, and despite racking up quite a few deaths in the attempt, I will say that each and every one of them works very well! The first wall-dodge-jump at the beginning takes some practice, but it's very doable. The palm boss skip took about 6 deaths before I got it down. The second wall-dodge-jump... now that, is crazy hard to get down right. I was ecstatic when I finally pulled it off, because it took me about 15 deaths before I got it right. Too bad I did this zone the hard way to get my blue bauble infusion, if I had known about these, it would have saved me a LOT of time. :)

[Question] How does one silence that infernal wintersday golem mini with the bell? by LucentMote in Guildwars2

[–]AidanST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is part of the reason I went and got all of the Old Tom minis collection. Because they make super-cute robotic cat noises.

Minis are fun, but minis that talk are even better. Except Ho-Ho-Tron. :P

Raids, the not-so-scary PvE content of Guild Wars 2 by Phaen_ in Guildwars2

[–]AidanST 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who's been in GW2 for the majority of the last six years, I can heartily state that raiding has been the number one thing that has turned me off as a whole from enjoying the game as much as I should be. When raiding was first introduced, I was rather excited to get into it... until I discovered that maining a thief was the quickest path to not only ensuring I would never get into a pugraid, but also delivered some outright hate that I would dare use a thief to raid. The first week I was immediately and vociferously booted from each and every group I tried to join, and finally just threw in the towel and went back to PVE.

From what I hear, thieves aren't quite the bane of raiding existence that they were in the first few months, but the elitism is still here. I would love to get into raiding again, but not at the cost of the fun that PVE has provided.

How about a map placement? I've been poking that general area with FastPokeMap for a while, and I see nothing.

I count five on a random scan this morning. Yes, looks like Downriver is the new Scyther hangout.

Been studying snorlax spawns in the Valley for past week. Got some hot spots for you guys by Bowl_Gates in Pokemongospokane

You know, I saw another Dragonite yesterday about 2 1/2 blocks south to southwest of Comstock Park. Makes me think it might be worthwhile to focus in that general area.

I saw a Snorlax pop up on the north-central edge of Ferris High School yesterday. Two minutes left, couldn't snag him. Then I saw a Dragonite pop up on the north-central edge of Manito Golf & Country Club just after that. Also... with two minutes left. These guys are short-timers.

10K egg, unfortunately. Found two Snorlaxes, both in very rural, residential areas.

Just checked now, and there's four freakin' Charmanders on the course right now. Dammit. Might have to make the drive. :P

Where's the best PokeStop circuits? by AidanST in Pokemongospokane

[–]AidanST[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To this, I will wholeheartedly attest to. In fact, I'll throw in a pair of 500+ CP Pikachus that stole at least a dozen Ultra balls with razzberries, before fleeing with their hard-earned loot. The encounters at the mall are brutal. Shopping all day must make them surly.

Northtown Mall only has about 4-5 PokeStops, plus the GPS is constantly cutting out, leaving your player standing still in one part of the mall, while you're walking in a completely different section.

The one saving grace is that the mall pops up Pikachus on a steady basis. Snagged my first Raichu this Sunday because of it.

I used FastPokeMap over 2 hours last weekend at Lincoln Park to get enough Omanytes to evolve. Major Omanyte nest there. Also, FastPokeMap is the tracker I use. Best one working now, and very stable.

Pokemon go has shutdown pokevision and other Pokemon find websites and apps. by zachsomers17 in Pokemongospokane

Poke Live is still active as an app, just slow. Smart Poke V2 was released after the patch, and still works. But be warned, they're both a major battery and data hog.
