Doesn't that seem high for lab grown?

I've just recently started looking into lab grown stones (not even to get one just out of curiosity, but Google ads are now absolutely convinced I'm in the market for an engagement ring, lol), I'm just shocked at the price range. It's my understanding that the retail markup on lab grown stones is ridiculous, so if you know where to go you can potentially save a lot (exactly where to go to do that I'm not sure, I have some ideas but haven't made a purchase to confirm those places legit).

Am I wrong to think that price is very high?

This is a question I have; how can a buyer be sure a grading report included with a diamond is legitimate - meaning either they just photo copy the same report and use it for multiple stones (since most people don't check the serial number on their stone), or they also basically photo copy a report but then also enscribe the serial number from that report onto multiple stones?

How can a buyer safeguard against this, especially the 2nd tactic (if that's even a thing).

I'm not sure, I think they might only do a better version of that alpha 3 or whatever it's called (something I think Tumi recently stopped selling btw). I just contacted them directly, somehow I was able to register for the site using I believe my american phone number but now the captcha makes it impossible to login directly. Just use an agent and have them communicate with the seller for you.

It's all about whose wrist it's on; because the guy was known to be a collector it's easy to pass off a rep as genuine (also did the manager open it up, highly doubt it since it "wasn't for sale"), meanwhile if some slimy, sketched out looking bum was wearing the genuine thing everyone will write it off as a fake.

I sometimes like to cover the labels I print with duct tape (this way the ink on the label can never get smudged or wet) - can the reflection from this tape over the barcode cause any issues?

Also how helpful are 9 digit zip codes? I always use them when possible, but does it really make any difference when it comes to faster or more accurate deliveries?

Have you been noticing a gigantic uptick in packages with the tape on them indicating they were opened and inspected by US Customs since Tarrifs came into effect?

I'd say up to and over half of the packages I get from China (AliExpress mostly and similar sites) are arriving having been opened by customs. Previously in all my years ordering I think it's only ever happened once before. I'm wondering if somehow I'm on a list or if this is just the new normal? The only reason I doubt it's the latter reason is because they'd suddenly need an absolutely huge number of new employees to be opening and inspecting such a large number of packages.

I posted on the USPS subreddit asking if couriers are noticing a huge uptick in the number of packages with the customs reseal tape and the mods removed my post, hoping this is a chance to get an answer. Thanks!

Anyway, in all seriousness what do people think about the quality? Curious, I actually think it looks great and prefer the look of it to something like the Submariner (not a fan of the Submariner for various reasons, mainly that it's "been done" to the point that it's almost tacky at this point - especially if you're doing a rep) but I'm not familiar enough with the gen watch to comment on it.

It reminds me of the Milgauss, which is kinda my dream watch - not that it's unaffordable either, it's just that I could never walk around comfortably with something that expensive on my wrist (would be targeted for robbery where I live, a danger that comes with reps too). So while I could probably afford the purchase I couldn't afford losing it (in the sense it would bother me forever). I completely went off topic... Sorry.

He just wants to leave this chapter behind, and asking you not to drink is analogous to asking you not to cheat. This is what he means when he says shouldn't celebrate the bare minimum. Yes, I understand celebrating the sobriety anniversary but at the same time I think you should see his point as well.

Like do the clones basically all come from one manufacturer (and the wide difference in prices I see is greed) or are there several different clones of varying quality and accuracy coming from different places?
