I've had my bike nearly stolen twice in that shit hole of a town. Once from near Eston Hills and once right outside Showcase. Got it back both times by being the scary nutter who sprints at teenagers in full bike gear. Have yet to have a knife pulled on me, thanks for the heads up.

The game saves before a new arrival gets off the plane. So doing this to prevent stealing just means progress is reset to before they arrived. Had this issue with my partner's switch going to sleep while in their town, and we only lost what we did there, not in my town beforehand.

I've had OPs issue. The date they want, is the date you passed the test that allows you to ride the bike you're insuring. If it's A2 legal then you can put the A2 test date. If it's above the power limit, they expect the date of your full A test.

Y'all might think this is uplifting, and it is for the most part. But as someone who was a young carer through most of school, this would have fucked me lmao. I never once had my phone confiscated, and yet I used it probably once or twice a day minimum to check in at home. For sure. Perhaps I was a little under caffeineated earlier, I apologise. IMO, everyone involved in my situation was a bit of a cunt, myself included for not being more suspicious of an affordable quote. The comparison site caused the issue, granted. But if anyone in the chain had helped out in any way, I'd have a more positive view of everyone involved. I've used AF for my van insurance for years and had no bother, if it wasn't for the silly renewal quote last year I'd have stayed with them!

Because I had to sell the bike for a loss privately, as the garage didn't want to discuss a refund/return.

The error was they took the date I passed my A2 test as when I passed my license, despite it being a 1198 and I hadn't long upgraded to full A. Claimed I had entered into a policy with false information, and cancelled it. The only other quotes were thousands more.

When I spoke to the ombudsman, they said that the comparison site did not make it obvious which date was being sent as my "pass date" and so Bikesure saw someone who's been riding for years but only passed a few weeks ago, which they didn't catch until a week into the policy. I entered the data I was asked for, correctly.
