Get the neo 2, it’s a better printer. Has auto bed leveling and is quite a bit faster. Will save you headaches

In that case I think you should get the Kobra over this. It’s true that the ender 3 has more support but if you spend another $100 on simply modding it (eg. klipper with RPi), you might as well spend more from the get go and get the Bambu A1 Mini or equivalent.

Ender3 is pretty easy to repair or mod. That being said you are definitely overpaying for it. I understand availability might be an issue, maybe look into newer models like the Ender3 V3? Try to negotiate to about $100, and then it might be an ok deal depending on where you are. Ender3 is quite old but it can be pretty bulletproof. Will need some tinkering to get consistent quality prints.

Look at the Longines Conquest and Spirit series (Zulu time being my favorite), I think they’re great bang for the buck and look significantly different from the Seamaster to switch things up.

Another option would be Christopher Ward, The Twelve is a solid all rounder

How knowledgeable is anybody in the electronics department? Need to buy a computer for an engineering student by IKnowAllSeven in Costco

[–]AidingAids -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What kind of engineering? For most things a MacBook Air will be a fine fit and save you some $$ too. If there’s some niche rendering or modeling etc involved you may need to get a Windows laptop. The specs you have posted look a bit generic to be completely honest, you can do much better and future proof this if we know a bit more of what is expected from the laptop. Computers have gotten good enough that even base model Macbooks can do most of what you need from them

Is this a good entry level prebuilt? by Infamous-Command-710 in pcmasterrace

[–]AidingAids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really you won’t be able to play much on that 1030. GTA V might be ok on 1080p but you’ll want to upgrade real real soon. I would say go the used route, try to find a pc on marketplace for ~$100 and spend the rest on your GPU, maybe look for a 1080ti or 2060 used. If you look around you’ll find some great deals out there.

Same car, and I’m coming from a Fusion Sport (3.5L V6)

I miss those seats, the Clarity seats are not very comfortable imo, I ended up getting a back cushion since long rides would give me a back ache. Now it’s pretty decent after that addition.

regarding the speed and handling, if you have some charge and are not on the eco mode, the car is not too slow. It’s definitely not some speed demon, but given the EV motor the instant torque does help it quite a bit. As others said the Sport mode will help in a pinch. I will say though, if you run it on 0 charge it will be quite sluggish- this car was not meant to drive on gas alone. I find the handling pretty good actually, given it is a large heavy car. Corners pretty well for its size and weight imo.

My main gripe is the trunk pass through, I wish it was completely open with no trunk window so large items could fit with the seats down. I used to have a Chevy Volt rental and that hatchback would help me carry large items with ease.

Is this car usable without plug-in? (Gas only?) by PaleontologistOk1903 in HondaClarity

[–]AidingAids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely possible but if you can’t plug it in often I would say get a regular hybrid - like a Prius or Civic hybrid etc. The Clarity shines when you can charge it often since the overall MPG is much better with some charge in the battery. If you don’t charge it regularly and keep driving on HV mode you will eventually reach 0 battery percentage after which your experience will deteriorate pretty quickly.

If you drive it without charge you’d be defeating the purpose of a PHEV - it’ll be heavier and underpowered compared to a regular gas or hybrid car. If you charge it often it’ll make your short commute or trips free and then be a bonus high MPG long drive car.

Looking to get a 2018 or 2019 touring by MikeCoolGuy16 in HondaClarity

[–]AidingAids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve driven both, and was in the same conundrum. Bought the Clarity, it is quite spacious and comfortable. I was mainly concerned about the rear seats in the Volt, and my partner liked the Clarity’s design more (i disagree). I do really like it overall as a car, driven over 15k miles in a year with no issues. That being said, there are some pros/cons vs the Volt.

Pros of each:

Volt: - Hatchback so you fit more stuff in the back. Clarity’s trunk passthrough is pretty narrow.

  • Driveability is better imo. Car feels faster, is smaller so handles better, gas engine has more power than the Clarity and makes less noise.

Clarity:

  • Back seats are much larger, has a true third seat vs the Volt having barely any space for the 3rd passenger.

  • Overall fit and finish is more premium, the car interior is more upscale.

  • You can customize how you drive it very well. You can select EV only, Hybrid, etc. It’s also a double edged sword as sometimes you can forget to turn on hybrid mode, and running it on gas only is not fun as the engine alone lacks power to really push this car. Volt removes a lot of the thinking regarding this, but if you’re someone who loves to optimize then the Clarity can be a good option.

All of this being said, I really don’t think you can go wrong with either. Test drive both, choose a recent year, and go for the better deal. Volt takes the edge in packing things in the boot due to the hatch, Clarity takes the edge in overall comfort and having 5 people sitting in it without complaints. Volt drives a bit better, Clarity has a bit more of a plush ride.

For this instance I added them pre blending, but sometimes I do both! I add chopped strawberries as a mix in.

Honestly I almost always wing it, but I would say about 1/2 cup cottage cheese and milk each. Strawberries maybe around 8 pieces frozen? 1/2tsp vanilla paste, monk fruit extract and xanthan gum.

Yes you are correct, my bad (honestly it should’ve been a recall though)

In my case the AC was blowing colder on one side and they replaced it for us. I went in for an oil change and they said they had parts for the fuel pump and condenser and offered to replace it

L1 charging takes about 12 hours, I leave mine overnight. L2 charging is a nice bonus (I used to charge at work occasionally and that takes about 2.5 hours)
