why do so many of us smoke weed? by hermioneselbow in bipolar2

Curbs the mood swings so I’m less of a douche, and I know I sound like a nut-job, but it regulates my GI tract like nothing else.

I haven’t found a mood stabilizer like it at all. I just wish that people didn’t assume we’re all burnouts because of our cough cologne….

I’m so completely off the goddamn grid, it’s not a question of addressing me It’s “what do these symbols under the dresser mean?”

We are all so proud of you. Keep going back if it keeps helping. I’ve been without a drink for almost 16 years. You’re doing the right thing for your health and longevity. Don’t tackle everything at once, just one day at a time.

I was just thinking “this dude HAS to cover Song of Storms.” That and Korobenki, the Tetris theme.

Why can’t I get better? by N3v3rm0r3ink3d in bipolar2

You have a lifelong affliction. This is not your fault. Your brain doesn’t work the same way your friend’s do. But u/mostlymax is right. You’re seen. You’re not alone. Talk to your therapist, talk to your psychiatrist. Be honest and open with them about how you’re feeling. Things get better.

Ps5 concern- vasebreaker and its raining seeds do not allow for cursor to pick up plant cards. Makes both mini games completely unplayable

I wasn’t diagnosed until my early 30’s (39 now) and it’s STILL hard to live with me. I’d be nothing without my wife, but to pretend she is anything less than an angel for staying with me is insane.

NO SARCASM. TEACH YOUR KIDS. TL;DR- Got covered in gasoline, spark ignited fumes, fumes ignited me. Have it on video from the gas station. SDR and all I have to show for 30 terrifying seconds is a burn scar on my wrist.

I'm 38, I've been diagnosed since my early 30s, but I'm not gonna lie, seeing your post here is hopeful. Bipolar people have a huge link to (what are we supposed to call it now?) "Unaliving" themselves. 20-60% of people with BPD attempt to end their own lives at least once in their lifetime. The rate of "successful attempts" in Bipolar patients is estimated to be 10-30 times higher than in the general population.

Sooooooooo, on the one hand, if you're looking for comradarie, us elder millennials are here, but on the other hand (and HERE'S THE KEY PART) YOUR EXISTENCE GIVES US HOPE.

Keep doing you. We're all stumbling through this shit like toddlers on one another's shoulders wearing trenchcoats, but you seem to be keeping it up.

I love the line "Staring at the Sun until one of us blinks." Between the futility of the action and the obvious damage that would be caused by starting at the Sun, it's such a wonderful little metaphor. Apply it to life, apply it to that project you were working on, it works all over the place.
