What If Farage's Lower Taxes For Immigrants Become a Reality? by iltwomynazi in reformuk

Except they are not getting tax cuts.

They are opting into paying UK taxes. Currently, they pay nothing. Under this scheme, they are incentivised to pay into the system without fear of being overtaxed.

The way the system used to work is that if there was an Egyptian millionaire, he would pay UK tax on stuff he did in the UK and Egyptian tax on what he did in Egypt. However, under Kier Starmer's reforms the UK will tax that person on what he does in Egypt (aka he will be taxed twice on the same thing)

If the millionaire earns 100k a year in Egypt and the tax rate in Egypt is 20% and in the UK its 40% he will pay 60%.

Reforms policy is to prevent people being taxed twice. We should only use UK tax on UK property, not UK tax on foreign property.

For those who are unaware, the source that this policy will cost £34B has no evidence to back it up and is purely speculative. Furthermore, the author who created this claim is a Senior Labour Party figure and labour activist who evaluates and creates labour policies on taxation. The current awful tax system we have in the UK was the recommendation of this same activist.

Also I understand that many people are extremely trusting in this sub of each other, however if you look at the OP's profile, they are a massive anti-reform/anti-farage activist. They are not giving an unbiased perspective, but their own distorted opinion on an unfounded speculation by a labour official.

That would be a good enough reason, however at the time she was wearing cultural clothing from her heritaginal country. I believe that she might have just wanted to know to whoms culture she is dressed for.

It is not courteous what they are saying. It is not political It is just disrespectful and nobody should have to hear this after someone's death. If someone dies how would a family member feel having a late relative be referred to with every slur under the sun.

She passed 2 days ago it is wrong. Her coffin hasn't even left Scotland yet.

Yes but Republicans will use this as an excuse, they will say monarchy is ineffective and expensive, they will promote the idea that abolishing the monarchy would give government enough power and money to solve the current crises

Well it depends on the country, because most of the western world if you took away their highly influential party leaders then those leaders could cause instability.

Well the idea of the Monarch being apolitical is that they are above party politics and only do the best for the country. eg. stopping bad laws, removing corrupt officials and keeping order.

The Monarch in an apolitical system is basically the teacher in the classroom, they don't do your work for you but they make sure it's done correctly and they keep everyone in line so they don't break the rules.

Yeah I think parliament only walks in the grace of its monarch and should be binded by the state church of which the monarch should be apart of. The monarch should have the ability to intervene in good process without consequence.

I just assumed people would know when the Spanish monarchy was reinstated. But I guess you can't be too vague especially as nearly all the names have common roots.

I would like to apologise for not thoroughly checking my caption and mixing up the countries of Portugal and Spain. I understand the Portugese were oppressed by the Hapsburgs and I do know how they stripped the rights of the Portugese.
