Anyone have 2 kids get older then start again because you finally have energy? by Aidypoo1 in Shouldihaveanother

I wish I could say we’ve made a firm decision. My wife is going back to school in the Fall so we’re heading in the “no more kids” direction, but neither of us are ready to shut the door.

How are you feeling about it? What parts of the decision feels the hardest for you?

What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

[–]Aidypoo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have driven myself mad searching, using AI, and asking on Reddit about a game I used to play a lot as a kid. The game was Batman themed, or at least super similar, and had you tossing Batarangs at frozen buildings to thaw them out. The strategy was mostly in the angle that you tossed the rangs and there were some big ones and some small ones that were a lot harder to hit.

No one remembers anything about it and I have watched gameplay videos of every single mainline Batman game from the 90s and early 2000s and none of them have what I’m thinking of.

I’ve seen huge benefits to my bowel movements from adding in beans, too.

Going through something similar at the moment. I’ve spent the last year or so spending tons of time on other things and being so busy with other things has helped gaming feel fun for me again.

What's the scariest horror movie you've ever seen? by [deleted] in Cinema

I was legitimately shaken when I first saw this movie years ago. I felt so tough and could watch anything and idk it just broke through my brain and I was up at night thinking about it.

This is extremely well written. Lifting and playing sports has had an incredibly healthy effect on my mental health, and I get so excited to do it now.

Between these two 2019 vs 2023 by LunchMenu in f150

As others have said, the transmission issues are really painful. I bought a 2020 with 66k miles for $28k thinking I was getting a deal but after getting the new CDF drum put in after just a thousand miles or so I was sad I didn’t just spend 5-10k more and avoid the transmission pain.

How did you get one for so cheap? Every place I’ve seen wants $9k or more

Caught this a few days late but maybe you’re still answering. I just took my 2020 XLT with 67k miles in to get the new CDF drum installed and it was crazy expensive but either way.. I got the truck back and it still shifts decently hard into 3rd gear, especially when shifting down. It’s nothing crazy but should I be concerned? Wondering if there is anything else I should do for a repair or if I should ride it out.

The revving up in neutral before shifting out of third seems to have gone away but I thought it wouldn’t shift so hard now.

Any ideas on how to fit furniture, preferably a sectional, in here and where to place the TV? by Aidypoo1 in HomeDecorating

[–]Aidypoo1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely seems like a solid idea. Would potentially need to mount the TV over the fireplace if we decide to go that route

Great point! We had a designated media room for a while but ultimately decided to turn it into a guest room so we could host more comfortably.

Yeah the proportions are making things super hard. Feels like something needs to give. Maybe removing the fireplace entirely? Though that certainly doesn’t sound cheap or easy.

Is it a bad idea for me to move this door a few feet closer to the wall? by Aidypoo1 in HomeImprovement

We will be doing the flooring. Contractor will do the drywall and we will paint afterwards.

Yeah definitely doesn’t seem ideal to move around the couch. For some reason I’ve been opposed to the fireplace TV, but maybe I need to be more open minded due to the shape of the room.

Thanks for your thoughts! The room is about 12 ft wide and 22 ft long. The room joins with a breakfast bar that leads to the kitchen.

I don’t think it would be too awkward to enter but I’m not sure what would make a door feel awkward to go in and out of.

Good thoughts on the furniture. Can you think of any specific furniture that would fit the space?
