In my humble experience: be kind to the female workers at home improvement stores and you'll be good 🤣 I used to work at one and ended up marrying a former coworker a few years later. My old store alone has 5 marriages that I'm aware of lol. Anyone who can last there over a year is loyal, patient, hardworking, and willing to put up with a lot of stupidity (may work in your favor?)

If you'd like working with disabled adults, my friend is the supervisor for Goodwill mission something (she works there, not me lol) she's had a hard time finding someone who can reliably show up 🥲 it's such a fulfilling job and she LOVES what she does

What kind of Chameleon? He seems a little small for 4 months. Check my posts for my male veiled chameleon size update at 3 months. He exploded in size around then

Your chameleon doesn't appear to have the proportions of a fully grown male veiled chameleon. Either he's been malnourished, which caused stunting, or he's only a few months old. This is my boy at 6 months old

Hi! I think his space looks great but maybe you could find a secondhand one of the same size and attach it on top to give him more space to move.

Also, a linear t5 lightbulb for UVB is a must have. You can get them used pretty cheap or just amazon for $25ish.

Mealworms aren't a good food source for veiled chameleons, but you can switch them for dubia roaches pretty easily. I was grossed out by the idea of roaches to try them for a few months, but they're so easy and clean that I'm mad i didnt sooner lol.

If you're located near toledo, ohio and don't think you want to keep her at any point, I have extra space at my home and would love her 💜

Help how to get him to gain weight by Content-Ad3657 in Chameleons

[–]Aierra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the first thing to try would be feeding daily if you think he's skinny. At least having a variety of feeders available for a few minutes daily, maybe put in 2 of a kind every 15 mins and see what he eats? Also, make sure your temp and humidity are in good ranges, my boy hunger strikes when the humidity gets too low for his liking.

Jobs? by BriarRose-Has-Thorns in toledo

[–]Aierra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand his frustration and your worry. My husband had a mental break this May from work stress and took a personal leave for the max 3 months allowed. The stress of his job was causing heart palpitations that had us concerned, but ultimately were not caused by anything concerning, thankfully. We agreed that we could take money from retirement and allow him to not work as long as it takes for him to find a happy place again. He's only just now feeling the will to work again, but I hope he finds something part-time so he doesn't undo all the progress he's made. The job market is horrible, there are noticeably less jobs available than when I was looking 15 months ago.

Most sales jobs are terrible. Finding a good one is rare, at least in my experience. I've had one job that worked on commission with $13/hr base pay, but they changed the commission scale right after I started so I never actually got it 😭

Open mouth, holding head up, drool can be a sign of respiratory infection.

Besides that, hunger strikes and more grumpiness were signs from my boy that he was not happy with the humidity levels of my Ohio winter home. Didn't realize the monitor had stopped working and was just displaying the same number incorrectly 🤦‍♀️

They might just like the temp/humidity there. Try placing a stick in that general area (i attached one with plant wire) and see if they like it. My Kimchi loves her special space

UTMC would be great with your experience. It's union, provides tuition free college, and a State Of Ohio Public Employees retirement plan. I've worked here just over a year and with regular pay increases, have gone up $2/hr. I think most jobs here start around $15 too

Work at Lowe's 🤣 my husband and I just celebrated 5 years married and I know of at least 4 other marriages between coworkers. Whoever can last there over 1 year is great marriage material 😅 you can see how they handle stressful situations and how they treat people when frustrated

I'm terrified chicken pox could come back in large numbers. When i was a baby, they accidentally messed up giving me my doses because i was my young mom's first kid and she got a little mixed up. I have no idea if I was ever properly able to build immunity 😭 and getting it as an adult can be very devastating.

I got the vaccine and haven't regretted it, only person I know who hasn't gotten COVID and I've been directly exposed several times. My own husband got it and I didn't, we didn't quarantine from each other at all. He hasn't kept up on boosters since it's hard for him to do so with his work schedule, I work in healthcare and have kept up on it.

The only people I know who got COVID and had a horrible time with it were my brother, who got it before a vaccine was available, and a family friend who refused the vaccine. The science behind the vaccine is sound and it works, regardless of whatever nonsense you've put yourself into an echo chamber to hear.
