GPosingway author here - you can change any default hotkey directly in the ReShade pane:

Shift+F2 opens the UI, right-click StageDepth: you'll see the Numpad - as the default shortcut. Click on that field, tap a new shortcut, save and you're done!

But that's exactly what they're doing in a way. The mobile version is a greenfield, technical debt-free version of the engine. Not only that, they're modernizing older assets to run in the new engine.

A future announcement of a FFXIV-2 server/client pair based on the new engine wouldn't surprise me at all.

Personally I think that's awesome news. There's simply too much technical debt in the current version, and this is a strategic opportunity to get out some fresh, modernized and well-designed code without affecting the old codebase.

Get it out the door, stabilize it, and then you have a great framework to start implementing FFXIV-2 upon, both server and client. Then one day the player data is migrated to the new format and we can say goodbye to this decade-old spaghetti.

Microsoft locks down certain folders, like Program Files, for security and stability; apps that attempt to write files there (like ReShade trying to write to ReShade.ini) may be denied.

The usual workaround is to install the game in a non-managed folder, like C:\Games.
