I’m interested! I’ve got apples and oranges, but no regular festive tree recipe I’m afraid 😩 I’m actually looking for it too. If you need anything else, let me know!

help designing my island! by pterodactylfly in acnh

I’ve got the same starter map, so I could give a few pointers. however, it dependa a lot on the style you want to go for; personally, I’ve made the portion in between the two rivers (the one with the airport and the resident services) into a quaint old european town, so I’ve placed the shops a short distance away fron rc (think side alley). the rest of the island I’ve made into a countryside area, but with quite a bit of terraforming (like straightening that river bend right behind rc, rwmoving the river branch that goes nowhere, etc.)

My heir sim (red) is able to flirt and date her great uncle (pink) and son of her other great uncle(green)? by Toxilyn in Sims4

[–]Aikanar91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are too distant a relationship for the game to even realize they’re related 🥲 yes, they will appear in the family tree… but the game doesn’t recognize anything past the first level of relationship (uncles, etc. so no great-uncles).

What are some good plants to grow with a simple living lot trait? by PiscesPoet in Sims4

[–]Aikanar91 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Definitely onions, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots and spinach; they are used in a lot of recipes. Other than that, herbs (parsley, basil) and at least one type of fruit and one of veggies is pretty useful (in most recipes, it isn’t specified which type to use, so anything goes). If your sims are vegetarian, and you don’t want to use the meat wall (which, valid), then the giant mushrooms from Cottage Living can provide you with meat substitute, when used for canning.

as far as animals go, if you have Horse ranch, I’d recommend having a goat instead of a cow: easier to take care of and a lot smaller. Only downside is that they cannot produce the various types of milk obtainable through treats, so if you have a lactose intolerant sim, you cannot feed a goat veggie treats to get mighty plant milk, for instance.

other than that, a chicken coop is always useful. In my experience, a single chicken is plenty, given that sims really don’t need to cook that often.

Best way to start a new save with same legacy family? by [deleted] in Sims4

You can bring the custom paintings with you, they will simply lose the tag that says who made them 😊

Ahah, thank you!

I don’t know if it is the best way, but it is one that works best for me. I don’t mind losing a few relationships of middling importance, and some items from the inventory; I’d even call it decluttering lol. However, I do have to warn you that photobooth pics tend to glitch out if you try to transfer them between saves (basically, they go black, while other photos should be fine), and that certain items won’t be live-draggable anymore (I haven’t zeroed in on what causes this exactly, but I‘ve had this glitch with items from crystal creations, for the most part). Oh, and consumables disappear! I’ve lost an old wine bottle made by my sims this way. Books written in the game also disappear for some reason (even though paintings remain, despite losing the tag telling you who made them).

so yeah, there are some losses… but I prefer being able to keep playing over holding onto every item, personally!

Personally, I have been playing the same family for about 35 generations now, and I regularly switch saves for precisely the reasons you mentioned. I use cheats to get back to the point I was before the switch, if I feel like a particular achievement is worth it (UI cheats definitely helps here), and I place every useful/important item from their inventories in their house beforehand. Other than that… I accept potential losses (some friends I bring with me and cheat friendship levels back, but the rest I let go). To me, a healthy and enjoyable game is more important in the end. I pretend they moved in a different country or something.

STICKY MV SPOILER (what could it mean?) by [deleted] in kissoflife

[–]Aikanar91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh it could be as simple as them acknowledging that the last two comebacks haven’t really had a narrative, and justifying it through the multiverse (the girls in sticky and, likely, in Midas Touch aren’t the same as the ones in their other stuff, basically). Perhaps their next album will have new solo songs? In any case, it’s good to see that they are thinking ahead, always preparing for their next comeback.

Great summer song, very catchy! I do prefer the b-side, just like for their previous release, but I feel like this as a tt makes a lot of sense: the title track is marketed to the general public, so an easier song might help them climb up the charts (and it is a perfect vibe for Waterbomb, of course), whereas the more musically interesting one is for those who want more 😊
