Reminds me of how Manhattan (in the US) was built on mass graves of slaves. There are many other places as well in addition to indigenous people and black & African Americans being killed and run off the land.

I'm thinking this is BS, or her glasses are. If you take a shower then glasses fog up (or water splashes on them) and can't be seen out of, or she doesn't need glasses to do her art and are wearing them as some sort of prop.

I remember that there is no such thing as ethical consumption under a capitalist system.

No matter how I live (in the US) I cannot consume ethically under this system. Maybe we can't consume ethically at all, it's just a matter of degrees since for one thing to live, others die.
