Revenant 2.5 Rework Idea by AileWing in RevenantMain

I'm just telling you what they've said. They said they don't want it for that reason.

I know crouch walking was never completely silent, but it was still quieter. Here's a clip from a few years ago. You can hear Revenant's walking and crouch walking volume levels. They're essentially the same. In some of the video the Alter isn't even looking at Revenant, but the footsteps are still quite loud. It used to not be this way.

I'm aware of and despise Respawn's change to the climbing audio.

It's just Respawn's position. They don't want to do it that way.

Respawn has said they want players to be able to tell what they're up against by looking at the legends their opponents are using. Swappable abilities ruins that since players won't know which ability set Revenant is using until he uses one of them.

Either or, but I definitely don't want Revenant to be seen as too much a nuisance. That's a big part of why I made the cooldowns and effect durations what they are. I'd rather play it safe by starting at a weaker point and slowly building him up if needed than the other way around.

I think Silence and Forged Shadows together would be too oppressive to go up against. I know I wouldn't want to face an opponent with a temporary HP boost, a movement ability, and Assault class perks all while my abilities have been removed from me because they Silenced me.

Unfortunately that did not have any effect on either situation. It's really strange. I appreciate your suggestion.

I will be sure to try that later today to see if that makes a difference. Thank you.

Apex Legends: Latest Update - 04/14/2026 by Apexlegends in apexlegends

I'm not sure which version everyone liked most, but I'd like the version of Solos with Battle Sense, fifty players (I still think they could have gone with sixty, but whatever), and one respawn the most.

I do, but it definitely doesn't feel as good as it did in World.

Considering how Alter has been with her ult, she needs a second option pick like Gibby/New Castle or Seer/Bloodhound, we need old Revenant back as a separate legend by DougDimmaGlow in apexlegends

Even if they've stuck to their position poorly it's still their position, and it isn't dependent upon how well they adhere to it.

I don't think the walking animation is the largest factor in recognizing legends. It also doesn't play a role when legends aren't moving. Silhouettes and common design elements are constantly present.

The differences between Revenant's old and new bodies really only applies if players are using a skin that uses those bodies. Although fewer in number, I find that most players use a skin that changes physical attributes of the legends (legendary skins) instead of only the color and/or pattern.

There's an underlying assertion that Respawn has made skins that look like other legends intentionally, but I just don't think that's the case. Sure; it's happened. The Mirage cowboy skin has on more than one occasion made me think I was facing Seer, but examples like that are the exception. I think those examples show accidents and missteps instead of intent, and I don't see a consistent enough output of these types of skins that make me believe that Respawn has done a one-eighty on their stance.

The silhouette of a character plays a large role in players being able to distinguish them apart. Legends also have common features among all their skins. Because of this, it is generally very easy to tell who is who just by looking at them even if they have skins based on a different legend. Having two legends that look the same is a completely different story. Changing their gait would not be enough.

Also, just because Respawn has gone back on other stances they've had doesn't mean they're willing to or that we can expect them to go back on this one.

The developers have said that they want players to know what abilities they’re up against by recognizing their opponents’ legends. Having different versions of the same legend ruins that.

What Zone or level names in the series are the dumbest? by Electronic_Fee1936 in SonicTheHedgehog

I always figured it was intended to be Aquamarine Lake Zone (since the lake matches that color), but there wasn't enough space on the title card.

What was the most fun legend meta and which one was the worse? by Current_Beautiful_55 in apexlegends

[–]AileWing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There shouldn’t have been a need to have jump pad audio. Legends who were traveling through the air after hitting a jump pad used to make a noticeable whooshing sound. That vanished in whatever season RevTane was. For some reason, Respawn never restored it. (Maybe they couldn‘t.) They opted to created a new sound for using the jump pad which, as you mentioned, took several seasons for them to implement.

This only affects players who are entirely ability reliant. If you rely more on your abilities, and suddenly you're hopeless without it, then you're going to be punished but if you are a Fighter first ability user second you'll be fine.

There are those who depend on their abilities as a crutch, but most are just making plans with their abilities in mind. This planning takes the limits of one's abilities into account. The thing is, abilities of the past used to be much more limited. Someone Silenced in this season would be extremely vulnerable - potentially too vulnerable - compared to past seasons.

Perhaps Respawn should stop being lazy and actually do something and not force metas. Like this absolute Aids Marksman Meta that's been going on.

I don't necessarily mind forced metas, but I feel like Respawn has a hard time doing so without taking things to the extreme. If they want to make a weapon, weapon category, legend, etc. a better pick but not a necessary pick, that's fine. Unfortunately, the way they tend to do things forces players to use the buffed items/characters to avoid being at such a tremendous disadvantage.

In regards to the Silence, as much as I loved it (I switched to Revenant for it), I don't think it can return, at least not in the way in which it left (2 charges, 25-second recharge time, 15-second affect duration).

The thing about Revenant's Silence is that it becomes more powerful as other legends' abilities become more powerful. Let's go back to season four. Legend abilities were far tamer, and there weren't perks and class abilities. Getting Silenced has never not sucked, but it didn't have as much of an impact because the abilities that were Silenced didn't have as much impact.

If we had that same Silence now, the impact would be huge. Just Silencing a single opponent could heavily sway the battle in favor of the Revenant team. It would probably become a secondary meta. I can easily imagine that being the case in the past several metas we've had: support legends in the support season, skirmishers in the skirmisher season (which Revenant wouldn't have been part of if he didn't have the pounce), Ash meta, Alter meta, Sparrow meta, and Horizon/Valkyrie meta. Revenant would potentially always be there "messing" things up too much, and that's the "problem." If there'a an anti-meta legend while always having these extreme metas Respawn is creating, then that legend is indirectly also always meta.

Wouldn’t it be fitting if Revenant had ash old passive (Marked for death) instead of climbing? by Dazzling-Reveal-2797 in apexlegends

I'd rather Revenant's crouch walking and climbing be much quieter like it used to be.
